Abstract

A method for stereotactic biopsy of brain focal formations of deep localization, in which the calculation of the coordinates of the point of entry is performed as well as biopsy needle passing trajectory and place of the biopsy on the basis of mathematical data processing of spiral CT angiography of the brain, performed under the following procedure: 15 minutes prior to the scan intravenously 40 ml of contrast medium (Ultravist-370) is administered. In the canbinet of spiral computer tomography 60 ml of contrast agent is intravenously administered by infusomats. The brain scans are made with good visualization of the tumor and cerebral vessels, which further ensures the accuracy and safety of biopsy.
