Abstract
A method for containment of the currant bud mite (Cecidophyopsis ribis Westw.) includes the directed killing effect as regards to larvae and adult individuals of the mite. At the high level of settling of black currant buds, prior to the beginning of flowering and right after flowering, double spraying of bushes with an aqueous solution of the preparation Tiovit Jet 80 WG (water-soluble granules) is carried out in an equivalent of 3 kg/ha. In the period of migration of the mites for attack of young currant buds double settling of the predaceous insect Tetrastichus (Tetrastichus eriophyes L.) on bushes is carried out with an interval of 8-10 days, in an equivalent of 18 and 20 individuals per one bush.
