A method of producing non-linear multi-strand springs includes high-temperature thermomechanical treatment of a wire. At twisting wire rope and its coiling on a mandrel heating the wire is carried out to the temperature not exceeding the tempering temperature. Within the same operation with simultaneous twisting and stretching the wire cutting the twisted spring of given length is carried out, welding the ends of wire, thermal treatment of the spring, spring hardening by aging in strained condition, measuring its geometric and force parameters followed by application of a protective coating. Twisting the wire rope and its coiling on the mandrel is carried out in such a way that the springs (wires) are made as nonlinear elastic wound springs.
