Abstract

A method for controlling the populations and harmfulness of fruit moths in apple and plum tree plantations such that control of the first generation of the fruit moths is carried out by means of three settlings of Trichogramma, the Trichogramma pintoi Voeg. species, on trees. The first settling is carried out at the beginning of mass egg-laying of females of the fruit moths, further ones with an interval of 5-6 days and settling rates of 80, 110 and 80 females per . In addition, populations of the second generation of fruit moths are controlled by means of four settlings of Trichogramma, T. dendrolimi Mats. species, and the first settling is carried out at the beginning of egg-laying of females of fruit moths, and the further ones with an interval of 6-8 days with settling rates of Trichogramma of 70, 100, 120 and 60 females per one tree. In addition, at the beginning and in the period of mass rebirth of caterpillars of the fruit moths two continuous spraying of trees are carried out with an aqueous solution of the biological preparation Gaupsin, with an interval of 6-7 days in an equivalent of 2.5 and 3.0 l/ha.
