Abstract

The method for restoring the blood flow in aortal-femoral segment comprises the separation of the abdominal aorta and the femoral arteries and the formation of the proximal anastomosis between the abdominal aorta and bifurcation allogenic bypass. For arresting the blood flow at the site of the proximal anastomosis, Fogarty catheter is used, which is inserted through the femoral artery to the abdominal aorta distal to the site of anastomosis formation. The balloon of the catheter is filled with the physiological saline containing heparin in a volume sufficient for the complete arrest of the blood flow in the abdominal aorta superior to the site of anastomosis formation.
