A technique for esophageal-gastric anastomosis in resection of thoracic division of esophagus comprises resecting the injured part of the esophagus, transferring the stomach in the right pleural cavity, and applying the sutures between the stump of the stomach and the distal part of the esophagus. The left part of the stomach, the esophagus and the right part of the stomach are sewed near anastomosis with the common ligature, which is then tied up. Below the ligature, 3-4 additional sutures are applied between right and left walls of the stump of stomach.
