The elbow mechanism for the prosthesis of the shoulder relates to the prosthetics and prosthetic manufacturing of the upper limbs. The design of the elbow mechanism is based on the two-ax planetary gear with the driving components to provide for the additional degree of the freedom for the turning forearm increasing the amplitude and decreasing the outside arc of the angular displacement of the components. Such a design allows one to prevent the damage of the clothes as a result of the prosthesis movements broadening the scope of prosthesis application with the account of the individual features of prosthetic manufacturing.
