Abstract

A method for the respiratory support of the patients with viral pneumonia and severe respiratory insufficiency provides for artificial lung ventilation with two-phase positive pressure in the airways through the facial mask closely fitting the face of the patient. The following parameters are set: breath-in trigger from –3 to – of water, the lower positive pressure – 3- of water; the upper positive pressure – 7- of water; end-expiration positive pressure – 3- of water. The resetting of breath-out initiation is 10-45 %, the inspiration time is 1-1.8 s, oxygen fraction in the expired mixture is at least 40 %.
