A fibrous activated carbonic material “Borysfen” contains a carbonic matrix in the form of carbonized and activated polymeric fibres, which have on the surface acidic and basic functional groups. The material is characterized by benzene value of sorption capacity within the range from 1.2 to 2.4 cm/g with the value of burning degree of the activated polymeric fibres within the range from 50 to 70 %.
