The proposed parametric frequency converter with a direct-current circuit can be used for powering medium-power and high-power asynchronous motors. The converter contains a rectifier, an independent current inverter with pick-off diodes and switching capacitors, and a control unit. The rectifier rectifies the mains voltage providing 12 pulses within a voltage period. The control unit contains an intensity setting unit, which provides a possibility to gradually increase the output frequency of the converter at the start of the motor in the range from zero to the motor rated frequency.
