Abstract

The invention relates to the medicine, namely to cardiology and may be used for the adequate drug selection for patients with arterial hypertension. The method for the individualized selection of the antihypertensive therapy comprises the assessment of the daily patterns of arterial pressure using the round-the-clock monitoring. The monitoring is performed in the setting of the alternated physical and psychoemotional loads. Then the dynamics of the changes of arterial pressure is analyzed. When the arterial pressure increases predominantly upon the physical load, beta-adrenoblockers are used. When the arterial pressure increases predominantly upon the psychoemotional loads, calcium antagonists are preferable. Finally, when the arterial pressure does not change upon any load, the inhibitors of angiotensin-converting enzyme are prescribed.
