Abstract

The aim of the invention is to increase the light efficiency of a lighting fixture by providing a high brightness and the uniform distribution of a light flux inside a working area and to simplify the lighting fixture assembling process. The inventive lighting fixture comprises a body whose internal surface is shaped in the form a segment of sphere and on which light-emitting-diode modules are mounted in such a way that they are grouped and annularly arranged along the body internal surface symmetrically with respect to the center thereof. Inside a group, the light-emitting-diode modules are positioned at unequal distances from the body center and all groups are embodied in such a way that said light-emitting diode modules are internally located in the same manner. The radius of the sphere, which form the body internal surface, ranges from 0.8 to 1.2m. The lighting fixture also comprises a decorative surface and a transparent cover which is made, for example, of optical polycarbonate and is shaped identically to the shape of the body internal surface. Said body internal surface and the cover can be embodied in the form of an assembly of spherical segments.
