Abstract
The method for diagnosing the protein deficiency in the children of the first year of life comprises the neurosonographic record of the morphofunctional changes in the brain of the child. The protein deficiency is assessed by the extent of hydrophilicity in brain tissue when the diameter of the ventricles exceeds the corresponding normal age-specific size by 10%. The invention relates to the medicine and the pediatrics and may be used for the assessment of the protein deficiency in the children due to the prolonged non-rational alimentation.
