Опромінення виробу без покриття іонами активного газу ведуть до досягання співвідношення між атомами активного газу і матеріалу виробу, яке дорівнює 0,5-1. Нанесення металевого покриття ведуть, не припиняючи опромінення його іонами активного газу. Опромінення іонами здійснюють з енергією 20...100 КеВ.The method of coating products from metals and alloys includes irradiating the surface of the product with active gas ions, applying a metal coating to the surface of the product, as well as irradiating the product coated with active gas ions.
