Abstract

Invention relates to continuous casting of metal, in particular, to the casting of metal with use of magnetic action on molten metal and can be used for continuous casting of metal strip. Installation for continuous casting of metal strip contains two horizontally distanced elements in the form of shafts with a clearance between them and electromagnetic devices for averting the discharge of the melt through open side of clearance, which contains electro-conductive coil, which creates horizontal magnetic field. Electromagnetic device is located directly upstream of the open side of clearance, and electro-conductive coil is formed by a front section located relatively closely to the open side of said clearance, and the rear end located relatively far from the open side of said clearance.
