Abstract
A method for preserving erythrocytes includes addition of a cryopreserving agent, containing 1,2-propanediol, sucrose, sodium chloride and bidistilled water, to packed red blood cells and freezing with a rate of 12-14°/min up to (-150)-(-170) °C with the following merging into liquid nitrogen. The 1,2-propanediol is taken in a concentration of 45-75%, and the cryopreserving agent is added in a ratio of the packed red blood cells: cryopreserving agent as 1 : (0.3–0.7) to the final concentration of 1,2-propanediol in the suspension of 25-29%.
