A radial sump contains a cylindrical reinforced concrete housing with conical bottom and central distribution system, a scraping mechanism, a peripheral composite chute. On the perimeter of composite chute with a step of 4-10 m, overflow pipes are mounted, lower ends of which are lowered into the sump vertically at the depth equal to 0.5 – 0.8 of its height. The invention relates to the technology of settling liquids and can be used at the stations of biological purification of domestic and industrial effluents.
