A drive of cutting machine has a casing, a segment knife and its guides, a pivot rigidly connected to the knife bar, link flexibly connected with a sole and made in form of the three-hinged basic link, crank and lever connected movably to a piston-rod and pivotally fixed in the casing. The crank and lever of transition mechanism are connected to the piston-rod by spatial hinges provided with spherical bearings. The piston-rod made in form of the flat V-shaped symmetric lever, arms of which are placed under the right angle relative to each other, is connected to the knife sole by means of universal spatial hinges provided with the closed three-dimensional resilient element.
