Abstract

The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the steel smelting in oxygen vessels. The invention comprises the addition in vessel of magnesian flux containing hydrogen oxide and has the following chemical composition, w/w: calcium oxide – 0.5-0.6, silicon oxide – 0.5-0.7, iron oxide – 0.1-1.5, hydrogen oxide – 25.0-40.0 and magnesium oxide – the rest and consists of mineralogical phases of brucite, serpentine and olivine. Technical result: increasing the resistance of skull coating of vessel lining and heat content of vessel smelting.
