Abstract

A twin-cutter boring head with a torsion vibration damper is made as a bracket with a shank on the one side and U-shaped side surfaces, parallel to the shank axis, - on the other. The cutters are mounted on an equal-arm lever mounted through a central opening, coaxial with the openings in the U-shaped side surfaces, with the possibility of rotation. In the bracket in diametrically opposite directions, parallel to the U-shaped side surfaces opposite the equal-arm lever two holes are provided, in which stop screws are placed with a length greater than the length of holes, secured against axial displacement from the side of the shank by nuts. The free ends of the stop screws protrude from the bracket from the U-shaped side surfaces in such a way, that vibration movement of equal-arm lever with clearance Δ is provided, and the bracket surface from the side of free ends of the stop screws is in interaction with rubber seals, which on the other side interact with the surface of the equal-arm lever. The equal-arm lever is mounted with its central hole on a hollow cylindrical sleeve with a stop flange on one side, which is fixed against axial movement in the U-shaped side surface by screws, and from the other side it is fixed by a nut. In the inner hole of the cylindrical sleeve a cylindrical torsion is mounted, which is based in the sleeve via slots and secured against axial movement by means of a cover with bolts.
