Abstract
The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for the production of casting alloys based on zirconium or titanium, and may be used to increase the service properties of casting alloys in the nuclear power industry and medicine. A method for producing casting alloys based on zirconium or titanium by skull melting with an electron-beam heating, and a bottom pouring of the formed alloy is characterized in that the alternating magnetic field of industrial frequency is applied on the said liquid alloy and alloy in the crystallization process, and electron-beam heating is carried out first with superheating of this molten alloy by 150- above the liquidus temperature and with subsequent cooling thereof immediately before casting into a mold to a temperature above the liquidus temperature by 50-. The invention provides a significant improvement of the properties of the blanks and products during the production of parts from titanium and zirconium and their alloys, in particular it provides the elimination of the lamination, increasing quality and purity, mechanical properties, suppression of segregation, the reduction of the average grain of the blanks and parts formed from this alloy.
