Abstract

The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to methods of steelmaking in different melting units. A method for the determination of a tap temperature of melting unit includes temperature control during melting, steel tapping from the melting unit, wherein steel tapping is performed at a temperature determined according to formula:T=t⋅Q,where: t– temperature of metal tapping °C,t– liquidus temperature °C of specific steel grade,Q – optimum value of the temperature of steel overheating over the liquidus temperature in conventional units = 1.0825 ±0.0072, ±0.0072 – interval of temperature variation. The invention provides increase of mechanical properties of steel, quality of produced steel and rational distribution of thermal energy during melting.
