Abstract

The invention relates to recuperators with direct tubular channels and can be used in furnaces for heating and smelting metal and in other furnace units for increase of effectiveness of use of fuel through heating air for burning due to use of heat of outflow gases. The recuperator installed in the channel for discharge of smoke gases of the furnace (smoke duct or chimney) includes inlet and outlet air boxes. Between the boxes installed in the niches of the chimney bunches of heating tubes arranged in chess order are installed. In the heating tubes in coaxial positions inner air tubes are installed, with spiral perforation by whole length. Along perforated tubes in the gap between those and the heating tubes, by whole length, swirling separators in rectangular, triangular or trapezium-like form are installed, those are installed at acute angle to the axis of the heating outer tubes. The outlet ends of the inner tubes are closed with covers. Advantages of the solution proposed is in increase of temperature of blast heating at substantial decrease of metal consumption of recuperator due to intensification of heat exchange with convection with turbulent vortex of impact (shock) jets, increase of the service life of operation of recuperator due to decrease of temperatures of heating wall, and simplification and decrease of cost of its construction. As the result of installation of an inner air tube in the heating tube, with openings arranged in spiral, and swirling separators along it, increase of effectiveness of heat emission with convection and increase of temperature of heating outflow blow air takes place, and due to that metal consumption of recuperator is decreased and service life of its operation is increased.
