The invention relates to field of separation of the mixture of gases. A method includes separation of biogas into methane and carbon dioxide and their removal for subsequent use. Biogas is preliminarily condensed into the solid phase at a temperature of 77-120 K, and the separation of biogas is conducted during warming of condensed biogas to room temperature, in this case removal of methane is performed at a temperature lower than the melting point of carbon dioxide, and removal of carbon dioxide is performed at a temperature higher than the melting point of carbon dioxide.
