Abstract

The method for the treatment of hypovolemia in the surgical patients provides for the infusion of crystalloids (0.9 % sodium chloride solution, Ringer's solution) to achieve the level of central venous pressure of 4.0-6.0 mm Hg. After the first administration of 400 ml of 0.9 % sodium chloride solution for 10 minutes, additionally the colloidal hyperosmolar solution GECOTON® is infused in a volume of 400 ml for 60 minutes followed by infusion of crystalloids until the elimination of hypovolemia and dehydration.
