Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the acetylene production by oxidative pyrolysis of hydrocarbons, e.g. methane, and can be used in petrochemical industry. Disclosed is an improved burner for acetylene production reactor wherein connection of oxygen injection tubes with burner body is performed by folding. This allows increasing burner lifetime without reactor shutdown for repair works.
