Abstract

A method for the determination of iodine in aqueous solutions by electrochemical method involves measurement on electrode at given potential by means of pulse stripping chronopotentiometry in samples after mineralization of organic substances with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, dissolution of mineralizate in 2M HCl followed by measurement of iodine concentration on solid silver electrode coated with mercury amalgam by addition technique, with auxiliary silver-chloride electrode, at given electrochemical parameters of iodine accumulation and inversion.
