Abstract

A method of treating the tropical malaria in individuals from the non-malaria zones is carried with application of the drug therapy. Based on the clinical and laboratory research the further treatment strategy is determined individually using the following schemes of the antiparasitic treatment: on day 1 of treatment - intramuscular injection of 160 mg pf artemeter once daily; 2-5 day - 80 mg once daily, and doxycycline - 100 mg two times a day, the second scheme includes the 600 mg of the quinine dihydrochloride intravenously with 400 ml of 5% glucose solution three times a day for 3 days. Then the patients take orally the artesunat according to the following scheme: in 1 day (4th antiparasitic therapy) 200 mg twice a day, on 2-5 day - 100 mg twice a day. As preventive treatment after both regimens the 3 tablets of sulfadoxine/pyrimethamine taken once are administered.
