Abstract
The invention relates to chemical technology. Monoethanolamides are prepared by inreaction of fatty acid esters with monoethanolamine. Plant or animal fats are used as fatty acid esters, the process is carried out at temperature 110-180°C in the presence of xylol at ratio of chemical equivalents of monoethanolamine and fat as 1.1-3:1 with further removal of unreacted monoethanolamine and then of xylol at reduced pressure.
