A combing reaper comprises a stripping cylinder on which combs, a frame, a drive mechanism and a conveyer are fixed. The stripping cylinder is made as separate sections, mounted on the shaft with the aid of a screw–nut connection. The screw–nut connections of the neighboring sections of the cylinder are made as threading in the opposite directions. Rotational motion is transmitted from the shaft to the cylinder sections by means of resilient elements.
