Abstract

A speaker device is adapted for using with an electronic device with a slot. The speaker device includes a connector. The connector is adapted to be detachably disposed inside the slot and includes a main body, a signal-connecting part and a power-connecting part. An end of the signal-connecting part is connected to the main body. The signal-connecting part is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot. The power-connecting part is connected to the other end of the signal-connecting part. The power-connecting part is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot. When the connector is inserted into the slot, the signal-connecting part and the power-connecting part is electrically connected to the slot.

Description

Speaker device and electronic system thereof

This case relates to an electronic system, and more particularly to an electronic system that includes a loudspeaker device.

Generally, when connecting speakers to electronic devices, the speakers are powered through a cable with a power connector and the audio is transmitted through a cable with a signal connector. However, this design is rather complicated and may cause users to plug the two cables in backwards, thus affecting the user experience.

The speaker device of this invention is applicable to an electronic device, which includes a slot. The speaker device includes a connector adapted to be detachably disposed within the slot, comprising a main body, a signal connection portion, and a power connection portion. One end of the signal connection portion is connected to the main body, and the signal connection portion is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot. The power connection portion is connected to the other end of the signal connection portion, and the power connection portion is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot, wherein, when the connector is disposed within the slot, the signal connection portion and the power connection portion are electrically connected to the slot.

The electronic system of this invention includes an electronic device and a speaker device. The electronic device includes a slot. The speaker device includes a connector adapted to be detachably disposed within the slot. The connector includes a main body, a signal connection portion, and a power connection portion. One end of the signal connection portion is connected to the main body and is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot. The power connection portion is connected to the other end of the signal connection portion and is adapted to be electrically connected to the slot. When the connector is disposed within the slot, the signal connection portion and the power connection portion are electrically connected to the slot.

Based on the above, the connector of the speaker device in the electronic system of this invention includes a signal connection section and a power connection section. Accordingly, when the connector of the speaker device of the electronic system is inserted into the slot of the electronic device, the signal of the electronic device can be transmitted to the speaker device through the connector, and the electronic device can simultaneously power the speaker device through the same connector, thereby improving the user experience.

Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of an electronic system according to an embodiment of this case. Figure 2 is a perspective view of the slot and connector of Figure 1. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the slot and connector of Figure 2. Referring to Figures 1 to 3, the electronic system 100 includes an electronic device 110 and a speaker device 120. The electronic device 110 is, for example, a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone, and the speaker device 120 is, for example, a speaker or headphones, but is not limited thereto. The electronic device 110 includes a slot 111. The speaker device 120 includes a connector 121 adapted to be detachably disposed within the slot 111.

In detail, referring to Figure 3, connector 121 includes a main body 1211, a signal connection part 1212, and a power connection part 1213. One end 1212a of the signal connection part 1212 is connected to the main body 1211. The signal connection part 1212 is structurally and electrically connected to the slot 111. The power connection part 1213 is connected to the other end 1212b of the signal connection part 1212, and the power connection part 1213 is structurally and electrically connected to the slot 111.

When the connector 121 of the speaker device 120 of the electronic system 100 is disposed in the slot 111 of the electronic device 110, the signal connection 1212 and the power connection 1213 are electrically connected to the slot 111. Accordingly, the signal of the electronic device 110 can be transmitted to the speaker device 120 through the connector 121, and the electronic device 110 can simultaneously power the speaker device 120 through the same connector 121, thereby improving the usability for the user.

Referring to Figure 3, slot 111 includes multiple spring contacts 1111 (shown as four), which are structurally and electrically connected to corresponding signal connection parts 1212 and power connection parts 1213. However, this invention is not limited to this; in other embodiments, slot 111 may also be connected to signal connection parts 1212 and power connection parts 1213 in other ways.

Referring to Figure 3, in this embodiment, the diameter of the power connector 1213 is smaller than the diameter of the signal connector 1212. Accordingly, the connector 121 of this embodiment ensures that the signal connector 1212 is fixed in a predetermined position in the slot 111. Furthermore, when a user inserts a conventional signal connector, the connector is also fixed in a predetermined position.

Please refer to Figure 3. The power connection part 1213 has a guide slope 1213a at one end away from the signal connection part 1212. The connector 121 is adapted to be inserted into the slot 111 by means of the guide slope 1213a.

In summary, the connector of the speaker device in this electronic system includes a signal connection section and a power connection section. Accordingly, when the connector of the speaker device is inserted into the slot of the electronic device, the signal of the electronic device can be transmitted to the speaker device through the connector, and the electronic device can simultaneously power the speaker device through the same connector, thereby improving the user experience.

Claims (7)

A speaker device is adapted to be used with an electronic device including a slot. The speaker device includes: a connector adapted to be detachably disposed within the slot, and includes: a body; a signal connection portion connected at one end to the body and adapted to be electrically connected to the slot; and a power connection portion connected to the other end of the signal connection portion and adapted to be electrically connected to the slot; wherein, when the connector is disposed within the slot, the signal connection portion and the power connection portion are electrically connected to the slot. The speaker device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the diameter of the power connection is smaller than the diameter of the signal connection. The speaker device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the power connection has a guide ramp at one end away from the signal connection, the connector being adapted to extend into the slot by means of the guide ramp. An electronic system includes: an electronic device including a slot; and a speaker device including a connector adapted to be detachably disposed within the slot, and comprising: a body; a signal connection portion connected at one end to the body and adapted to be electrically connected to the slot; and a power connection portion connected to the other end of the signal connection portion and adapted to be electrically connected to the slot, wherein when the connector is disposed within the slot, the signal connection portion and the power connection portion are electrically connected to the slot. The electronic system as described in claim 4, wherein the diameter of the power connection is smaller than the diameter of the signal connection. The electronic system as described in claim 4, wherein the power connection has a guide ramp at one end away from the signal connection, the connector being adapted to extend into the slot by means of the guide ramp. The electronic system as described in claim 4, wherein the slot includes a plurality of spring contacts that are structurally and electrically connected to corresponding signal connection portions and power connection portions.
