Abstract

An umbrella water removal device includes a base, an absorption unit and a pad. The base has two plates disposed opposite to each other and define a dewatering channel together. The absorption unit is disposed in the dewatering channel and is detachably fixed to the base. The pad is detachably disposed in the absorption unit and supports the absorption unit. As a result, the absorption unit can be easily cleaned and reused to achieve the goal of environmental protection.

Description

Umbrella water removal device

The invention relates to a water removal device, in particular to an umbrella water removal device with minimal consumable parts.

In order to prevent consumers from bringing wet umbrellas into the premises and making the floor slippery, many business premises provide plastic bags for consumers to put their umbrellas in before entering the premises. Generally speaking, such plastic bags are rarely reused, resulting in a large amount of disposable waste.

In view of the above situation, some industry insiders have developed an umbrella water removal device, which basically includes a water removal component that can initially knock off or wipe the rainwater on the umbrella, so that the rainwater brought into the room can be greatly reduced without using a plastic bag.

However, the existing rainwater dewatering devices are mostly used multiple times compared to plastic bags, wherein the dewatering component is glued or locked to the base on which the dewatering component is installed, so that the life of the entire device is completely determined by the dewatering component. Even if the base can still be used, the dewatering component needs to be discarded and replaced together with the base after it is damp or even moldy or damaged to a certain extent.

Even if some businesses try to improve the situation by simply reusing the base, the water removal components may still be positioned as non-reusable consumables due to cost considerations. For example, cardboard or paper is used as a support, and it cannot be soaked for disinfection or washing. As a result, businesses using such rainwater water removal devices need to purchase a large number of water removal components and replace them regularly, which takes up storage space and creates an expense burden.

If the rainwater removal device is made of cardboard or paper, the water removal component itself needs to be thick to prevent consumers from accidentally destroying its preset shape (generating wrinkles, folds, and twists) during use, thereby reducing its contact area with the umbrella surface and losing the water removal effect. In addition, such a thick water removal component is difficult to fix on the base and increases the manufacturing cost.

In view of this, how to minimize the number of consumable parts and achieve better environmental protection effects while taking into account manufacturing costs and durability is an urgent goal that the industry needs to achieve.

These technical contents are used to help understand the process of solving the problem to be solved by the present invention, and they are not necessarily those that have been disclosed or known in the art.

One purpose of the present invention is to provide an umbrella water removal device which takes into account durability, manufacturing cost and environmental protection benefits.

To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the umbrella water removal device of the present invention comprises a base, an absorption unit and a pad. The base may comprise two plates, which are arranged opposite to each other and jointly define a water removal channel. The absorption unit is arranged in the water removal channel and is detachably fixed to the base. The pad is detachably arranged in the absorption unit and supports the absorption unit.

As described above, the novel invention uses a detachable absorption unit and pad, so that the absorption unit can be removed from the base and the pad can be taken out from the absorption unit, so that it is easy to be washed and reused. After the pad is placed in, it has sufficient support and is not easy to be deformed during use. The pad also has a high degree of durability and is not easy to be damaged and shorten the service life.

In one embodiment, the absorption unit of the umbrella dewatering device of the present invention is two absorbent sleeves, which are suitable for covering the two pads and respectively include an opening, which includes a zipper, at least one Velcro, overlapping cloth parts or at least one elastic band, etc., allowing the pad to be closed after being placed in the absorbent sleeve to tightly cover and fix the pad, and can also be opened to remove the pad.

In one embodiment, the weight of the water absorbing sleeve of the umbrella water removing device of the present invention is between 280 grams and 450 grams.

In one embodiment, the pad of the umbrella water-removing device of the present invention includes at least one fixing member, through which the absorption unit can be fixed to the base and removed from the base.

In one embodiment, the at least one fixing member of the cushion of the umbrella dewatering device of the present invention can be columnar or sheet-shaped. When there are two or more fixing members, the fixing members are symmetrically arranged relative to a geometric center of the cushion.

In one embodiment, the at least one fixing member of the pad of the umbrella water removal device of the present invention can be a strong magnet.

In one embodiment, the umbrella dewatering device of the novel invention further includes a first fixing member and a second fixing member assembled with the first fixing member, the first fixing member is arranged on the base, and the second fixing member is arranged on the absorption unit. Through the assembly of the first fixing member and the second fixing member, the absorption unit can be fixed to the base and removed from the base.

In one embodiment, the umbrella water removal device of the present invention further comprises a drawer-type water collection tray, which is arranged at a lower part of the water removal channel and can be drawn out from a side of the water removal channel.

In one embodiment, the umbrella water removal device of the present invention further includes a bottom support seat, which is arranged below the seat body, connected to the seat body, and occupies an area longer and wider than the seat body.

In one embodiment, the umbrella water removal device of the present invention further comprises a wheel set connected to a lower portion of the bottom support seat, and optionally comprises at least one brake assembly.

The following will specifically describe specific embodiments of the present invention; however, without departing from the spirit of the present invention, the present invention may be implemented in a variety of different forms of embodiments, and the scope of protection of the present invention should not be interpreted as limited to what is described in the specification.

The terms "first", "second", etc. in this article are used to explain and distinguish various elements or components, rather than to indicate that these elements or components have a necessary order or priority. In addition, the directions (such as top, bottom, etc.) described are relative directions and can be defined according to the use and placement of the umbrella dewatering device. They do not indicate or imply that the umbrella dewatering device needs to be constructed or operated in a specific direction, nor can they be understood as a limitation on this creation.

Please refer to FIG. 1, which is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of an umbrella dewatering device 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The umbrella dewatering device 10 may include a base 100, an absorption unit 200 and a pad 300 (see FIG. 3A). The technical contents of each component are described in order as follows.

The base 100 includes two plates 110 and a bottom plate 120 connecting the two plates 110. The two plates 110 are made of magnetic material and are arranged at a distance relative to each other. A water removal channel 130 is defined on the two plates 110 and the bottom plate 120. The water removal channel 130 can just allow an umbrella to pass through (along the direction of an arrow in the figure), and can also allow other rods that are the same as the umbrella to pass through. In an embodiment, the water removal channel 130 can also be partially closed, that is, the umbrella needs to enter along the direction of the arrow and then exit. The length of the base 100 (the extension length of the water removal channel 130) can be between 22 and 50 centimeters, the width (the width of the water removal channel 130 and the thickness of the two plates 110) can be between 30 and 48 centimeters, and the height (the height of the umbrella water removal device 10 extending upward from the ground when placed on the ground) can be between 75 and 85 centimeters, so as to be suitable for most umbrellas and have the desired water removal effect. In one embodiment, one cross section of each of the two plates 110 is in a straight line, and the two straight lines are parallel to each other, so that an umbrella can pass back and forth.

The absorption unit 200 is disposed in the dewatering channel 130 and is detachably fixed to the base 100. In detail, the absorption unit 200 can be a cloth body that easily absorbs water, such as a felt cloth with a water-absorbing layer (Figure 1 schematically depicts the material of the water-absorbing layer, and for ease of expression, Figures 2 to 4 are only represented by textures). In an embodiment in which the dewatering channel 130 can be partially closed, the absorption unit 200 can be a U-shaped cloth body disposed in the dewatering channel 130, and each half is fixed to the two plates 110 (not shown in the figure). In this embodiment, the absorbent unit 200 may be two absorbent sleeves 210, only one side of which has an absorbent layer 212, and the other side is a flat cloth surface, and the two absorbent sleeves 210 are detachably arranged on the two plates 110 with the absorbent layers 212 facing each other. In one embodiment, one absorbent sleeve 210 is configured to have a weight between 280 grams and 450 grams, so that it is easy to be fixed, disassembled and washed, and the manufacturing cost is further reduced.

The pad 300 can be made of a flexible and lightweight sheet material, such as a polyurethane (PU) sponge. When the pad 300 is bent by an external force, it can return to the shape when it leaves the factory. When it is set in the absorption unit 200, it can support the absorption unit 200 and prevent it from being deformed. The pad 300 can have an outer contour of the corresponding absorption unit 200 individually, or have an outer contour of the corresponding absorption unit 200 when combined together. In this embodiment, the pad 300 is flat on both sides.

The absorption unit 200 and the covered pad 300 can be configured to have an appropriate thickness in accordance with the width of the base 100, so that the umbrella will not be difficult to pass through the water removal channel 130 and will not be unable to contact the water absorption layer 212.

Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3A. In the present embodiment, the two water-absorbing sleeves 210 respectively include an opening 214. The pad 300 can be placed in the water-absorbing sleeve 210 through the opening 214 to be covered. The opening 214 can include a zipper, at least one Velcro, overlapping cloth parts (envelope type) or at least one elastic band (only the zipper is shown in the figure) to facilitate the user to close the opening 214 to tightly cover and fix the pad 300 after the pad is placed in the water-absorbing sleeve to prevent the pad 300 from falling out, and can also open the opening 214 to remove the pad 300. In an ideal situation, the opening 214 is configured as a zipper to facilitate the user to take out and put in the pad 300, and it is not easy to get loose after washing or repeated use, and it can also prevent the pad 300 from sliding out of the opening 214 during use.

Please refer to Figures 3A to 3B. In this embodiment, the pad 300 may include at least one fixing member 400. Through the fixing member 400, the absorption unit 200 can be fixed to the base 100 or removed from the base 100. In one embodiment, at least one fixing member 400 is a strong magnet, which is adhered to the pad 300 with strong glue, and can be, for example, a cylindrical or rectangular sheet. The magnetism of the strong magnet passes through the water absorbing sleeve 210, and the water absorbing sleeve 210 is pulled and adsorbed on the base 100, so that the water absorbing sleeve 210 is fixed on the plate 110. When the fixing member 400 is cylindrical, four fixing members 400 may be arranged at each corner of the pad 300, and symmetrically arranged relative to a geometric center of the pad 300, but this is not a limitation. In order to improve stability, more than four fixing members 400 may be arranged, and additional fixing members 400 may be arranged at the geometric center. When the fixing member 400 is a rectangular sheet, two fixing members 400 may be arranged at the upper end and the lower end of the pad 300, and the fixing member 400 may be attached to the pad 300. The larger fixing area makes it difficult for the fixing member 400 to be pulled off by external force when it is attached to the pad 300, and also increases the strength of the water absorbing sleeve 210 adsorbed on the base 100, so as to prevent the water absorbing sleeve 210 from being easily pulled off from the base 100 during use. According to different fixing requirements, the fixing member 400 may also have other shapes. In one embodiment, the plurality of fixing members 400 may be arranged with more at the top and less at the bottom to avoid or reduce the pad 300 sliding downward due to gravity. In this embodiment, the plurality of fixing members 400 are not necessarily arranged symmetrically relative to a geometric center of the pad 300.

In one embodiment, the base 100 and the absorption unit 200 of the umbrella water-removing device 10 may have other detachable fixing methods, such as including a first fixing member and a second fixing member (not shown in the figure), the first fixing member is arranged on the base 100, and the second fixing member is arranged on the absorption unit 200. The first fixing member and the second fixing member are arranged as structures that can be assembled with each other, such as the fiber end and the hook end of Velcro, the male and female buckles of the buckle, or the hook and the rope, etc. In this way, through the assembly of the first fixing member and the second fixing member, the absorption unit 200 can also be fixed to the plate 110 of the base 100 or removed.

By means of the above arrangement, the absorption unit 200 of the umbrella dewatering device 10 of the present invention can be removed from the base 100 when it absorbs enough water or is stained with dirt, and the pad 300 can be taken out from the absorption unit 200 to wash, dehydrate, and dry the absorption unit 200. When the absorption unit 200 is to be used again, the pad 300 can be put in to provide support to restore the original shape and fixed on the plate 110.

Please refer to Figure 4. The umbrella water-removing device 10 of the present invention may further include a drawer-type water collection tray 500, which is arranged above the bottom plate 120 of the base 100 and is located at a lower part of the water-removing channel 130. When in use, it can collect water droplets falling from the umbrella. After a certain amount of water is accumulated, it can be drawn out from a side of the water-removing channel 130, the water can be poured out and put back into the water collection tray.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 , the umbrella dewatering device 10 of the present invention may further include a bottom support seat 600, which is disposed below the base 100 and connected to the lower portion of the base 100 or the bottom plate 120. The bottom support seat 600 may be a box, a block or a bracket, which occupies an area longer and wider than the base 100, so that the base 100 is not easily toppled due to external force when fixed thereon.

In this embodiment, the umbrella dewatering device 10 of the present invention may further include a wheel set 700, which is connected to the bottom support seat 600 if there is one, and may be connected to the lower part of the seat body 100 (not in contact with the bottom plate) or the bottom plate 120 if there is no bottom support seat 600. The wheel set 700 may include, for example, four wheels, and each wheel may be provided with a brake assembly 720, so that the umbrella dewatering device 10 can be placed at a desired position without being affected by external forces and sliding.

Through the above arrangement, the seat 100, the absorption unit 200 and the pad 300 of the umbrella dewatering device 10 of the present invention can be reused. The absorption unit 200 can be quickly and conveniently fixed on or removed from the seat 100 by a simple assembly method. The absorption unit 200 is lightweight and easy to wash and dry before reuse. The pad 300 has a high degree of durability and is not easily damaged to affect the service life of the entire umbrella dewatering device 10. It can also be easily fixed in or removed from the absorption unit 200. In this way, the components of the umbrella dewatering device 10 of the present invention can all be reused, which not only takes into account the purchase cost of the user, but also achieves environmental benefits.

Claims (10)

An umbrella water-removing device comprises: a base body, comprising two plates, the two plates are arranged opposite to each other and jointly define a water-removing channel; an absorption unit, arranged in the water-removing channel and detachably fixed to the base body; and a pad, detachably arranged in the absorption unit and supporting the absorption unit. As described in claim 1, the umbrella dewatering device, wherein the absorption unit is two water-absorbing sleeves, which are suitable for covering the two pads and respectively include an opening, and the opening includes a zipper, at least one Velcro, overlapping cloth parts or at least one elastic band. An umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 2, wherein a weight of the water-absorbing sleeve is between 280 grams and 450 grams. An umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 1, wherein the pad includes at least one fixing member, through which the absorption unit can be fixed to and removed from the base. As described in claim 4, the at least one fixing member can be columnar or sheet-shaped. When there are more than two at least one fixing members, the fixing members are symmetrically arranged relative to a geometric center of the pad. As described in claim 4, the at least one fixing member can be a strong magnet. The umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 1 further includes a first fixing member and a second fixing member assembled with the first fixing member, wherein the first fixing member is arranged on the base, and the second fixing member is arranged on the absorption unit. Through the assembly of the first fixing member and the second fixing member, the absorption unit can be fixed to the base and removed from the base. The umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 1 further includes a drawer-type water collecting pan, which is arranged at a lower part of the dewatering channel and can be drawn out from a side of the dewatering channel. The umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 1 further includes a bottom support seat, which is arranged below the seat body, connected to the seat body, and occupies an area that is longer and wider than the seat body. The umbrella dewatering device as described in claim 9 further includes a wheel set connected to a lower portion of the bottom support seat.
