Abstract

A motorcycle faucet protection device includes a cover module and a covering body. The cover module is installed on a front unit and covers a faucet. The cover module includes a window portion through which a dashboard can be viewed. The covering body is connected to the cover module and can be flipped over. The covering body can change between a covering position relative to the cover module to shield the window portion and an open position to expose the window portion so that the dashboard can be viewed. The faucet and the dashboard can be protected by repeatedly designing the cover module and the covering body.

Motorcycle fascia protection device

The present invention relates to a motorcycle product, in particular to a motorcycle fascia protection device.

A currently known motorcycle includes a head unit, which includes a steering wheel for controlling the driving direction, and a dashboard for displaying information and arranged above the steering wheel. The dashboard has a transparent shell and a display module located below the shell.

In recent years, as the price of motorcycles continues to rise, people are paying more and more attention to the maintenance of the motorcycles they buy. When riding a motorcycle, people often look at the dashboard installed on the faucet, so people will pay special attention to the maintenance of the faucet and dashboard. However, Taiwan has a subtropical climate, and the climate changes significantly throughout the year. Rain and sunlight can cause damage to motorcycles outdoors.

If a motorcycle is outdoors and exposed to rain for a long time, water will easily penetrate into the motorcycle body along the joints of the motorcycle components, thereby affecting the service life of the motorcycle. The display module of the instrument panel is equipped with many electronic devices and wires. When water penetrates into the instrument panel along the joint between the instrument panel and the faucet, it is easy to cause damage to the electronic devices, thereby affecting the function of the display module.

In addition, the outer shell of the instrument panel is usually made of acrylic or transparent plastic. When the outer shell is exposed to sunlight for a long time, the texture of the outer shell will gradually become fragile and easy to crack. The display module arranged under the outer shell currently mostly adopts a liquid crystal screen. The characters displayed on the liquid crystal screen will gradually fade when exposed to sunlight for a long time. Therefore, after the display module is exposed to sunlight for a long time, the owner will not be able to view the information on the instrument panel normally.

Therefore, a protective cover that can protect the motorcycle faucet and instrument panel and can be used between rainy days and sunny days is an innovative structural design that current motorcycle users need.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a motorcycle fascia protection device that can overcome at least one disadvantage of the prior art.

Therefore, the new motorcycle fascia protection device is suitable for being installed in a front unit of a motorcycle. The front unit includes a fascia for controlling the driving direction, and a dashboard arranged in the fascia for indicating driving information. The motorcycle fascia protection device includes a cover module and a cover body.

The cover module is used for being installed on the vehicle head unit and covering the faucet. The cover module includes a window portion through which the instrument panel can be viewed.

The cover body is connected to the cover body module and can be flipped over. The cover body can be changed between a covering position for shielding the window part and an opening position for exposing the window part so that the instrument panel can be viewed relative to the cover body module.

The utility model has the following advantages: the faucet and the instrument panel can be protected by the structural design of the cover module and the cover body. The motorcycle faucet protection device can conveniently switch between protecting the instrument panel and viewing the instrument panel by the structural design of the cover body and the window portion.

Before the present invention is described in detail, it should be noted that similar components are represented by the same reference numerals in the following description.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3 , a first embodiment of the novel motorcycle fascia protection device 1 is suitable for installation in a front unit 91 of a motorcycle 9, wherein the front unit 91 includes a fascia 911 for controlling the driving direction, and a dashboard 912 disposed in the fascia 911 and used to indicate driving information. The motorcycle fascia protection device 1 includes a cover module 2, a cover body 3, two positioning modules 4, and a fixing module 5.

The cover module 2 can be installed on the front unit 91, and includes a cover unit 21 covering the faucet 911, and two mounting units 22 for positioning the cover unit 21 on the faucet 911.

The cover unit 21 has a cover 211 for covering the faucet 911, two first connecting bodies 212 spaced apart on the lower surface of the cover 211, and three bag bodies 213 spaced apart on the cover 211 and respectively cooperating with the cover 211 to define three accommodating spaces 214 with openings facing upward.

The cover 211 covers the faucet 911 and extends downward along the rear edge of the faucet 911. The cover 211 has a window portion 215 through which the instrument panel 912 can be viewed. The window portion 215 is a transparent sheet disposed on the cover 211 and overlapped with the instrument panel 912 located below. Each of the first connectors 212 is disposed near the section of the cover 211 that is vertically disposed below the faucet 911.

The mounting units 22 cooperate with the cover unit 21 to be mounted on the left and right sides of the vehicle head unit 91. Each mounting unit 22 has a belt body 221 connected to the cover body 211 and extending forward and downward to the bottom of the faucet 911, and a second connecting body 222 disposed at the end of the extension of the belt body 221 and detachably connected to the first connecting body 212. Each first connecting body 212 and the corresponding second connecting body 222 are a set of Velcro.

The design purpose of the mounting units 22 is to mount the cover module 2 on the faucet 911 unit, but in practice, in other embodiments of the present invention, other structural designs with the same purpose, such as designing both ends of each mounting unit 22 to be detachably connected to the cover unit 21. The structural designs with the same purpose as above are all embodiments of the present invention, and this embodiment is only an example and is not limited to this. In this embodiment, the window portion 215 is a transparent film, but in practice, the window portion 215 can also be an opening.

The cover body 3 is a single piece and has a fixed end 31 connected to the cover body 211 near the front edge of the faucet 911, and a lifting end 32 extending from the fixed end 31 to the rear edge of the faucet 911 and covering the window portion 215. The lifting end 32 can be flipped up and forward. In the first embodiment, the design purpose of the cover body 3 is to cover the window portion 215 in a flippable manner. Other structural designs with the same purpose, such as designing the cover body 3 to be fixed on the cover body 211 in a flippable manner, and designing the cover body 3 into other shapes, are all embodiments of the present invention.

The positioning modules 4 are arranged between the cover body 211 and the shielding body 3 at intervals on the left and right. The positioning modules 4 can position the shielding body 3 at the uncovered position when the shielding body 3 is at the uncovered position. Each positioning module 4 includes a main connector 41 arranged on the lower surface of the shielding body 3, and a secondary connector 42 arranged at a position of the cover body 211 near the front edge of the faucet 911. Each main connector 41 can be detachably connected to the corresponding secondary connector 42. When the shielding body 3 is at the uncovered position, the main connectors 41 can be exposed and can be respectively connected to the secondary connectors 42, thereby positioning the shielding body 3 at the uncovered position.

In this embodiment, each of the main connectors 41 and the corresponding secondary connectors 42 are a set of Velcro. However, in other embodiments of the present invention, the main connectors 41 and the secondary connectors 42 can also be changed to button type, magnetic type, or binding type. Since there are many types of the positioning modules 4, the implementation is not limited to the above-mentioned types.

The fixing module 5 is disposed between the covering body 3 and the cover body 211, and can be used to position the covering body 3 at the covering position. The fixing module 5 includes a first fastener 51 disposed on the lower surface of the covering body 3, and a second fastener 52 disposed on the cover body 211 below the window portion 215. The first fastener 51 and the second fastener 52 are detachably connected.

The purpose of the structural design of the fixing module 5 is to position the covering body 3 at the covering position. Other structural designs with the same purpose may refer to the positioning modules 4. This embodiment is only an example and is not intended to be limiting.

The cover body 3 can be changed between a covering position to cover the window portion 215 and an opening position to expose the window portion 215 and allow the instrument panel 912 to be viewed relative to the cover body module 2. When the cover body 3 is to be adjusted from the covering position to the opening position, the cover body 3 can be rolled up to the front edge of the faucet 911, and the main connectors 41 are respectively assembled with the auxiliary connectors 42. At this time, the cover body 3 no longer covers the window portion 215, and the instrument panel 912 is exposed. When the cover body 3 is to be adjusted from the open position to the covering position, the main connectors 41 can be separated from the auxiliary connectors 42, and the cover body 3 can be laid down flat on the position above the window portion 215. Then the first fastener 51 and the second fastener 52 are assembled to position the cover body 3 above the window portion 215. At this time, the cover body 3 covers the window portion 215, and the instrument panel 912 is shielded.

When the novel motorcycle fascia protection device 1 is used, the cover module 2 must be mounted on the front unit 91, and the window portion 215 must be located above the instrument panel 912. When the instrument panel 912 needs to be viewed, the cover body 3 is operated to the open position. When the instrument panel 912 does not need to be viewed and the instrument panel 912 is to be prevented from being exposed to sunlight, the cover body 3 is operated to the covering position.

Referring to FIG. 4 , a second embodiment of the novel motorcycle fascia protection device 1 differs from the first embodiment in the structural design of the cover module 2. For the sake of convenience, the following will only describe the differences between the embodiments. In the second embodiment, the cover module 2 is made of a transparent material. When the cover 3 is in the opened position, the instrument panel 912 located below the window portion 215 can be seen through.

Referring to FIG. 5 , the third embodiment of the novel motorcycle chock protection device 1 differs from the first embodiment in the structural design of the cover unit 21 and the mounting units 22. In the third embodiment, the belt bodies of the first embodiment are omitted. The number of the first connectors 212 is three, and the number of the second connectors 222 is three.

Two of the first connecting bodies 212 are disposed on the lower surface of the cover body 211 at intervals on the left and right. Two of the second connecting bodies 222 are disposed on the faucet 911 at intervals on the left and right. Another of the first connecting bodies 212 is disposed on the lower surface of the cover body 211 and close to the front side of the cover body 211. Another of the second connecting bodies 222 is disposed at the front edge of the faucet 911. Each of the second connecting bodies 222 can be detachably connected to the corresponding first connecting body 212. Each of the first connecting bodies 212 and the corresponding second connecting body 222 is a set of Velcro. The cover body 211 is positioned on the faucet 911 by the first connecting bodies 212 and the second connecting bodies 222.

It must be explained that the number of the first connectors 212 and the second connectors 222 in the third embodiment is merely an example and is not intended to be limiting.

In summary, the novel motorcycle faucet protection device 1 can protect the faucet 911 and the instrument panel 912 from being damaged by rain by means of the structural design of the cover module 2. The structural design of the cover body 3 can protect the instrument panel 912 from being exposed to sunlight and causing degradation of the display function of the instrument panel 912. By means of the structural design of the cover body 3 and the window portion 215, the cover body 3 can be switched between the covering position and the uncovered position. In particular, when driving, the cover body 3 can be switched to the uncovered position, and the instrument panel 912 can be viewed without removing the cover module 2, which is very convenient. In addition, by means of the structural design of the positioning modules 4 and the fixing modules 5, the cover body 3 can be conveniently positioned at the covering position and the uncovering position. Even more amazingly, the cover body module 2 can be designed to be a transparent material, or the structural design of the cover body unit 21 and the mounting unit 22 can be changed, so as to further provide different types of motorcycle chock protection devices 1. Therefore, the new motorcycle chock protection device 1 is indeed a very practical creation, and can indeed achieve the purpose of the new invention.

However, the above is only an example of the implementation of the present invention, and it cannot be used to limit the scope of the implementation of the present invention. All simple equivalent changes and modifications made according to the scope of the patent application of the present invention and the content of the patent specification are still within the scope of the present patent.

Claims (11)

A motorcycle fascia protection device is suitable for being installed on a front unit of a motorcycle. The front unit includes a fascia for controlling the driving direction and a dashboard arranged in the fascia for indicating driving information. The motorcycle fascia protection device comprises: A cover module, which is installed on the front unit and covers the fascia, and includes a window portion through which the dashboard can be viewed; A cover body, which is connected to the cover body module and can be flipped to change between a covering position for shielding the window portion and an opening position for exposing the window portion and allowing the dashboard to be viewed. A motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 1, wherein the cover module is made of a transparent material. A motorcycle faucet protection device as described in claim 1, wherein the cover module has a cover unit, the cover unit has a cover covering the faucet, and the cover has the window portion. A motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 3, wherein the window portion is a transparent sheet disposed on the cover unit. The motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 1 further includes a positioning module disposed between the cover module and the cover body and capable of positioning the cover body at the opened position when the cover body is at the opened position. A motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 5, wherein the positioning module includes a main connecting member arranged on the covering body, and a secondary connecting member arranged on the cover module, and the main connecting member can be detachably connected to the secondary connecting member. The motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 1 further includes a fixing module disposed between the cover module and the covering body and capable of positioning the covering body at the covering position when the covering body is at the covering position. A motorcycle hood protection device as described in claim 7, wherein the fixing module includes a first fastener disposed on the covering body, and a second fastener disposed on the cover module, and the first fastener can be detachably connected to the second fastener. A motorcycle faucet protection device as described in claim 1, wherein the cover module further includes a cover unit covering the faucet, and a mounting unit connected to the cover unit and used to position the cover unit on the faucet. A motorcycle faucet protection device as described in claim 9, wherein the mounting unit is detachably connected to the cover unit and is fitted onto the faucet, the cover unit also having a cover covering the faucet, and a first connector disposed on the cover and located at a position detachably connected to the mounting unit, the mounting unit having a belt connected to the cover and extending to below the faucet, and a second connector disposed at the extended end of the belt and detachably connected to the first connector. A motorcycle faucet protection device as described in claim 10, wherein the cover unit has a cover covering the faucet, and a bag disposed on the cover and cooperating with the cover to define a accommodating space.
