Abstract

The present invention discloses a chest harness for pets, which includes a harness body and a chest-abdomen connection assembly. The harness body includes an attached cloth body and four first connectors, and the chest-abdomen connection assembly includes four second connectors and a chest pad assembly. The chest pad assembly includes a first adjustment ring, two main chest pads, an auxiliary chest pad and an abdominal pad. The present invention uses two main chest pads and an auxiliary chest pad to replace the single-structure chest pad in the prior art, so that when the pet is wearing the pet chest harness and moving, the main chest pad can move to avoid rubbing the pet's skin or fur, and will not strangle the pet's neck or improperly compress the trachea, causing danger.

Description

Pet harness

This creation is a pet product, specifically a pet chest harness that is used as pet clothing to help pet owners prevent their pets from running around and getting lost when taking their pets out to play, and to protect the pets’ safety when going out.

Due to the declining birthrate and aging population, raising pets has become a part of many families’ or individuals’ lives, and even the center of their lives. Common pets, such as cats, dogs, and rabbits, behave like children at home. In addition to the need for human interaction and care, they also need to be able to go out and socialize regularly, stretch their muscles in a spacious space, and eliminate the depression of staying in the house for a long time. It is an animal’s instinct to take pets out for a walk and sniff everywhere. However, pet owners who are good at raising their pets naturally hope to take their pets for a walk outdoors often. However, the outdoor environment is full of variables for pets. Pets are often easily lost when their owners are not paying attention and they can’t tell the difference between north and south. In addition, some pets tend to interact with other animals and even fight without warning. If pets are not properly controlled, many annoying problems will ensue. Therefore, in order to allow pets to move freely within a limited range, pet owners often tie their pets to a protective leash before going out.

Generally speaking, pet leashes are tied to the loop around the pet's neck. Although this is convenient, if the pet moves too aggressively, the pulling force of the leash will be applied to the pet's neck, causing damage to the pet's neck muscles or spine. Some sellers of pet products have seen these situations and have proposed corresponding improved protective gear. For example, Patent No. M584601 of the Republic of China proposes a pet chest harness, which consists of a harness body and a chest pad. The harness body and the chest pad are detachably connected with fasteners and are used to cover the pet's chest area. The leash can be connected to the ring on the harness body, so that the pulling force of the leash is evenly distributed on the pet's chest, thereby reducing damage to its neck. However, the patented product has a disadvantage: the chest pad is a fixed piece and sticks to the pet's chest for a long time. Although it is made of soft foam material, it is tough enough, which causes the chest pad to continue to rub against specific parts of the body when the pet moves, causing hair loss and even skin abrasions. In addition, there is no big problem when the pet wears the pet chest harness when standing, but when lying down or being picked up, the integrated chest pad structure is relatively stiff, which can easily compress the trachea and chest cavity in the pet's throat, causing discomfort to the pet.

In order to solve the above problems, this new model is proposed.

The invention discloses a chest harness for pets, which comprises: a harness body, comprising: an attached cloth body, having a front side and a rear side, a connecting portion formed therebetween, the front side forming a first extension portion and a second extension portion, the rear side forming a third extension portion and a fourth extension portion; and four first plug-in components, each of which is respectively connected to one of the extension portions; and a chest-abdomen connection assembly, comprising: four second plug-in components; and a chest pad assembly, comprising: a first adjustment ring; two main chest pads, each of which is fixed with a first lower connecting belt by a rivet, one end of each first lower connecting belt can movably pass through the first adjustment ring, The other end is adjustably connected to a second connector, and the two second connectors can be temporarily and detachably connected to the first connectors of the first extension and the second extension respectively; an auxiliary chest pad, a movable nylon rope is fixed with a rivet, and one end of the movable nylon rope can be movably passed through the first adjustment ring; and an abdominal pad, the other end of the movable nylon rope and the central part of a second lower connecting belt are fixed with a rivet, and the two ends of the second lower connecting belt are respectively and adjustably connected to a second connector, and the two connected second connectors can be temporarily and detachably connected to the first connectors of the third extension and the fourth extension respectively.

According to the present invention, the angle between the extension directions of the first extension portion and the second extension portion can be greater than 120 degrees, and the extension directions of the third extension portion and the fourth extension portion are substantially parallel.

According to the present invention, the shoulder strap body may further include a second adjustment ring and two first upper connecting straps, the first connectors connected to the first extension portion and the second extension portion are respectively connected to one end of one of the first upper connecting straps, and the other end of each first upper connecting strap may be movably passed through the second adjustment ring, folded back and fixed to the front side with rivets.

According to the present invention, the shoulder strap body may further include a second upper connecting strap, one end of which flexibly passes through the second adjustment ring and is fixed to the connecting portion with a rivet, and the other end passes through a traction rope ring and is folded back and fixed to the rear side with a rivet.

According to the present invention, the shoulder strap body may further include a loop-shaped upper connecting belt, and three locations of the loop-shaped upper connecting belt are fixedly connected to the rear side with rivets, wherein the rivet fixing on the third extension portion and the fourth extension portion is performed after the loop-shaped upper connecting belt is folded back, and the two folded locations are respectively connected to a first connector, and the loop-shaped upper connecting belt between the rivet fixing locations that do not contact the rear side forms a hand-held handle.

According to the present invention, a limiting cloth strip can be further sewn on the first extension part and the second extension part, and the first upper connecting belt passes through the gap between the limiting cloth strip and the front side to limit the rotation of the first upper connecting belt relative to the rivet fixing point.

This new type uses two main chest pads and one auxiliary chest pad to replace the single structure one-piece chest pad in the existing technology, and evolves the structure into three protective chest pads. When the pet is wearing the pet chest harness, the chest pads can be adjusted to each other through the first adjustment ring, and it is no longer an unadjustable one-piece structure. The position of the first adjustment ring is far away from the pet's throat and will not compress the pet's throat trachea. The main chest pad can move to avoid rubbing the pet's skin or fur. The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following embodiments.

Please see Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 is a three-dimensional view of a pet chest harness 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 2 is a top view of the pet chest harness 1. The pet chest harness 1 of the present invention is used to be worn on a pet and connected to a leash, so that the pet owner can take the pet out for activities. According to the present invention, the pet that can wear the pet chest harness 1 can be, but is not limited to, cats, dogs, rats and mini pigs, and the difference lies in the overall and relative size of the pet chest harness 1. The pet chest harness 1 includes a harness body 10 and a chest-abdomen connection assembly 20, which are described in detail below with the relevant diagrams.

Please see Figure 3, which is a top view of the shoulder strap body 10. The shoulder strap body 10 includes an attachment cloth body 100, four first connectors 110, a second adjustment ring 120, two first upper connecting straps 130, a second upper connecting strap 140 and a ring-shaped upper connecting strap 150.

The attached fabric body 100 is designed to contact the back of the pet with the main body 10 of the strap. It uses an elastic fabric lining, such as cotton or foam material, as the core material, and the outer fabric is sewn with a water-repellent fabric and then sewn with an edge strip to form a soft object. Due to the sewn edge strip, the edges of the core material and the outer fabric will not scratch the pet's skin or pull the body hair. In appearance, the shape of the attached fabric body 100 is close to an "I" shape; in structure, the attached fabric body 100 has a front side 101 and a rear side 102, and a connecting portion 103 is formed therebetween. The front side 101 forms a first extension portion 101a and a second extension portion 101b, and the rear side 102 forms a third extension portion 102a and a fourth extension portion 102b. Considering that the pet chest harness 1 has to be worn around the chest, and due to the large amount of movement and wide range of movement of the pet's forelimbs, the angle between the extension direction of the first extension part 101a and the second extension part 101b close to the chest is designed to be greater than 120 degrees. The third extension part 102a and the fourth extension part 102b on the rear side 102 do not have this problem, and their extension directions are roughly parallel.

When the pet chest harness 1 is not worn, the harness body 10 and the chest-abdomen connection assembly 20 can be separated. When wearing the harness, place the harness body 10 on the pet's back and the chest-abdomen connection assembly 20 on the pet's chest and abdomen, and finally plug the corresponding first connector 110 and the second connector 210 together. The first connector 110 and the second connector 210 can be easily disassembled when not in use. Each of the four first connectors 110 is connected to one of the extensions. In this embodiment, the first connector 110 is a female buckle and the second connector 210 corresponds to the male buckle of the female buckle. In practice, the first connector 110 can also be a male buckle and the second connector 210 corresponds to the female buckle of the male buckle.

The second adjustment ring 120 is used to flexibly connect the two first upper connecting belts 130 and the second upper connecting belt 140. The two first connectors 110 connected to the first extension portion 101a and the second extension portion 101b are connected in the following manner: one end of each of the two first upper connecting belts 130 is connected respectively, and the other end of each first upper connecting belt 130 is flexibly passed through the second adjustment ring 120, and then folded back and fixed to the front side 101 with a rivet R. Since the first upper connecting belt 130 is not entirely sewn on the front side 101, the first connector 110 connected to the end thereof can rotate relative to the rivet R, so that the harness body 10 and the chest-abdomen connecting assembly 20 can have relative freedom of movement at the connection point on the pet's chest, thereby not restricting the pet's movement. The second adjustment ring 120 is a tool for coordinating the two first connectors 110 when rotating through the first upper connecting belt 130. One end of the second upper connecting belt 140 flexibly passes through the second adjustment ring 120 and is fixed to the connecting portion 103 with the rivet R. The other end of the second upper connecting belt 140 passes through a towing rope ring 141, is folded back, and is fixed to the rear side 102 with the rivet R. The leash ring 141 can be used to hook the pet leash to control the pet to prevent it from running away.

There are at least three places on the loop-shaped upper connecting belt 150 that are fixedly connected to the rear side 102 with rivets R. In this embodiment, the center of the loop-shaped upper connecting belt 150 and the other end of the second upper connecting belt 140 share a rivet R to be fixed to the rear side 102. The rivet R fixation on the third extension 102a and the fourth extension 102b is performed after the loop-shaped upper connecting belt 150 is folded, and the two folded places are respectively connected to a first connector 110. This method makes it more difficult for the first connector 110 of the rear side 102 to rotate. The loop-shaped upper connecting belt 150 that does not touch the rear side 102 is formed with a hand-held handle 151. Since the harness body 10 and the chest-abdomen connection assembly 20 cover the pet's body, the pet owner can hold the handheld handle 151 in an emergency to directly pull the pet off the ground or apply force to prevent the pet from moving to avoid dangerous situations.

As mentioned above, the first upper connecting belt 130 is not entirely sewn on the front side 101, so the first connector 110 connected to its end can rotate relative to the rivet R. In order to prevent the pet from escaping the pet chest harness 1 due to excessive rotation, a limiting cloth strip 160 is sewn on the first extension part 101a and the second extension part 101b respectively. The first upper connecting belt 130 passes through the gap between the limiting cloth strip 160 and the front side 101 to limit the rotation of the first upper connecting belt 130 relative to the rivet R fixing point. The third extension part 102a and the fourth extension part 102b do not have this design, because the fixation of the three rivets R has this effect.

Please refer to Figure 2 again. The chest and abdomen connection assembly 20 is designed to cover the pet in conjunction with the harness body 10, and includes a chest pad assembly 200 and four second connectors 210. The chest pad assembly 200 includes a first adjustment ring 201, two main chest pads 202, an auxiliary chest pad 203 and an abdominal pad 204. The main chest pad 202 is used to attach and protect the chest cavity on both sides of the pet. The manufacturing method and materials of the main chest pad 202, the auxiliary chest pad 203 and the abdominal pad 204 are the same as those of the attached cloth body 100, and will not be described here. The two main chest pads 202 are respectively fixed with a first lower connecting belt 205 by a rivet R. One end of each first lower connecting belt 205 can be movably passed through the first adjustment ring 201, and the other end can be adjustably connected to a second connector 210. The "adjustable connection" mentioned here and later refers to the adjustable length so as to be applicable to pets of different body shapes. In practice, the first lower connecting belt 205 and the second connector 210 can be connected by a Japanese buckle (not shown) to adjust the length between the second connector 210 and the first adjustment ring 201. In terms of workability, the two second connectors 210 here can be temporarily connected to the first connectors 110 of the first extension part 101a and the second extension part 101b in a detachable manner. The auxiliary chest pad 203 is used to protect the lower part of the pet's chest cavity. A movable nylon rope 206 is fixed with a rivet R. One end of the movable nylon rope 206 can be movably passed through the first adjustment ring 201. The abdominal pad 204 is a component for fixing the pet's abdomen when the pet chest harness 1 is used. The abdominal pad 204 fixes the other end of the movable nylon rope 206 and the central part of the second lower connecting belt 207 with a rivet R. Using a movable nylon rope 206 instead of a less elastic lower connecting belt to connect the auxiliary chest pad 203 and the abdominal pad 204 has an advantage: it prevents the single inelastic lower connecting belt from pushing against the neck when the pet lies down, causing throat compression and discomfort. The two ends of the second lower connecting belt 207 are respectively connected to a second connector 210 in an adjustably manner. The two connected second connectors 210 can be temporarily connected to the first connectors 110 of the third extension 102a and the fourth extension 102b in a detachable manner.

Just like the situation that the first connector 110 can rotate relative to the rivet R because the first upper connecting belt 130 is not entirely sewn on the front side 101, the first lower connecting belt 205 and the movable nylon rope 206 will also have the same situation. To solve this problem, a limiting cloth strip 208 is sewn on each main chest pad 202 to limit the rotation of the first lower connecting belt 205 relative to the rivet R fixing point. Similarly, a limiting cloth strip 208 is also sewn on the auxiliary chest pad 203 to limit the rotation of the movable nylon rope 206 relative to the rivet R fixing point.

In order to illustrate the use and advantages of the new pet chest harness 1, please refer to Figures 4 and 5. Figure 4 is a side view of the pet chest harness 1 when in use, and Figure 5 is a front view of the pet chest harness 1 when in use. In Figure 4, the harness body 10 of the pet chest harness 1 is placed on the back of a pet (a dog is used as an example), and the main chest pad 202 and the auxiliary chest pad 203 of the chest pad assembly 200 are attached to the dog's chest cavity and fixed to the dog's neck through the connection of the first connector and the second connector. At the same time, the abdominal pad 204 is placed under the dog's abdomen and fixed to the dog's abdomen through the connection of the first connector and the second connector. The relative position of the auxiliary chest pad 203 and the abdominal pad 204 is fixed by a movable nylon rope (not shown). In FIG. 5, it can be seen that the dog is attached and protected by the main chest pad 202 and the auxiliary chest pad 203. When the dog's left foot is raised or the head is lowered to the left, the left main chest pad 202 is squeezed and close to the dog's head. At this time, the left main chest pad 202 will squeeze the right main chest pad 202 through the first adjustment ring 201, so that the right main chest pad 202 naturally moves away from the dog's head, making room for the left main chest pad 202. On the contrary, when the dog's right foot is raised or the head is lowered to the right, the right main chest pad 202 is squeezed and close to the dog's head. At this time, the right main chest pad 202 will squeeze the left main chest pad 202 through the first adjustment ring 201, so that the left main chest pad 202 naturally moves away from the dog's head, making room to accommodate the right main chest pad 202. The auxiliary chest pad 203 is centered as a balancing tool. Compared with the conventional chest pad, which is a whole, when it cannot move or deform, the larger movement of the dog's front limbs easily causes the chest pad to rub the fur near the dog's chest, causing the dog to lose hair or scratch the skin. The new pet chest harness 1 does not have this problem. In addition, this structure will not strangle the pet's neck and cause danger.

Claims (10)

A chest harness for pets, comprising: a harness body, comprising: an attached cloth body, having a front side and a rear side, a connecting portion formed therebetween, the front side forming a first extension portion and a second extension portion, the rear side forming a third extension portion and a fourth extension portion; and four first plug-in components, each of which is respectively connected to one of the first extension portion, the second extension portion, the third extension portion and the fourth extension portion; and a chest-abdomen connection assembly, comprising: four second plug-in components; and a chest pad assembly, comprising: a first adjustment ring; two main chest pads, each of which is fixed with a first lower connecting belt by a rivet, and one end of each first lower connecting belt can be movably connected to the chest and abdomen; Passing through the first adjustment ring, the other end can be adjustably connected to a second connector, and the two second connectors can be temporarily and detachably connected to the first connectors of the first extension and the second extension respectively; an auxiliary chest pad, fixing a movable nylon rope with a rivet, one end of the movable nylon rope can flexibly pass through the first adjustment ring; and an abdominal pad, fixing the other end of the movable nylon rope and the central part of a second lower connecting belt with a rivet, the two ends of the second lower connecting belt are respectively and adjustably connected to a second connector, and the two connected second connectors can be temporarily and detachably connected to the first connectors of the third extension and the fourth extension respectively. A pet chest harness as described in claim 1, wherein the harness body further comprises a second adjustment ring and two first upper connecting straps, the first connectors connected to the first extension portion and the second extension portion are respectively connected to one end of one of the first upper connecting straps, and the other end of each first upper connecting strap can be movably passed through the second adjustment ring, folded back and fixed to the front side with a rivet. A pet chest harness as described in claim 3, wherein the harness body further comprises a second upper connecting strap, one end of which flexibly passes through the second adjustment ring and is fixed to the connecting portion with a rivet, and the other end of which passes through a traction rope ring and is folded back and fixed to the rear side with a rivet. A pet chest harness as described in claim 4, wherein the harness body further comprises a loop-shaped upper connecting belt, wherein three locations of the loop-shaped upper connecting belt are fixedly connected to the rear side with rivets, wherein the rivet fixing on the third extension portion and the fourth extension portion is performed after the loop-shaped upper connecting belt is folded back, and the two folded locations are respectively connected to a first connector, and the loop-shaped upper connecting belt between the rivet fixing locations that do not contact the rear side forms a hand-held handle. A pet chest harness as described in claim 5, wherein a limiting cloth strip is further sewn on the first extension portion and the second extension portion, and the first upper connecting belt passes through the gap between the limiting cloth strip and the front side to limit the rotation of the first upper connecting belt relative to the rivet fixing point. A pet chest harness as described in claim 1, wherein a limiting cloth strip is further sewn on the main chest pad to limit the rotation of the first lower connecting strap relative to the rivet fixing point. A pet chest harness as described in claim 1, wherein a limiting cloth strip is further sewn on the auxiliary chest pad to limit the rotation of the movable nylon rope relative to the rivet fixing point. A pet chest harness as described in claim 1, wherein the first connector is a male buckle or a female buckle. A pet chest harness as described in claim 9, wherein the second connector is a female buckle that matches a male buckle or a male buckle that matches a female buckle.
