Abstract

This invention provides a folding table, which includes a table top and two supporting members. A hinge set is provided at each end of the table top, and the hinge piece of each hinge set has a hinge hole, a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole. Each supporting member has two hinge parts and two positioning parts, and the hinge parts are penetrated by the hinge holes so that the supporting members are hinged with the table top. The positioning parts can selectively penetrate the first positioning holes or the second positioning holes so that the folding table is in a first state or a second state.

Description

Folding Table

The present invention relates to a folding table, and more particularly to a foldable table which can be stacked.

In order to make the table easy to carry or use in a small space, some businesses provide folding tables. However, the folding tables known to the applicant are provided with a triangular movable bracket so that the table legs can be folded and unfolded relative to the table top. However, when folding such folding tables, users are easily pinched by the triangular movable bracket. In addition, when some folding tables are unfolded, their table legs will be over-expanded as the weight of the load increases, which is not only easy to be damaged but also easy to be accidentally folded, and is quite unstable. In addition to the above-mentioned safety-related issues, although the folding tables known to the applicant can be folded, in a situation where multiple folding tables need to be stored, these folding tables still have the concern of taking up too much space.

Therefore, it is an important issue to propose a folding table that is safe and convenient in the folding and unfolding process, has high stability and can reduce the space occupied by the folding table when it is folded.

In some embodiments of the present invention, a folding table is provided, which includes a table top and two supporting members. Each end of the table top has a hinge set, each hinge set has two hinge pieces arranged parallel to each other, and the hinge piece has a hinge hole, a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole. The supporting members are hinged to the table top, and each has two hinge parts and two positioning parts. The hinge parts are penetrated by the hinge holes, so that the supporting members are hinged to the table top. The positioning parts can selectively penetrate the first positioning holes or the second positioning holes, so that the supporting members have a first state and a second state relative to the table top.

In some embodiments, when the support member is in the first state relative to the table top, the positioning portion is penetrated by the first positioning holes.

In some embodiments, when the support member is in the second state relative to the table top, the positioning portion is penetrated by the second positioning holes.

In some embodiments, the table top further has a recessed area.

In some embodiments, the table top further has a first groove having a first side and a second side opposite to each other, and the depth of the first groove on the first side is deeper than the depth of the first groove on the second side.

In some embodiments, the table top further has a first groove and two second grooves shallower than the first groove.

In some embodiments, the first groove further has a through hole.

In some embodiments, the table top further has a fixed portion.

In some embodiments, the folding table further includes a limiting mechanism, which includes a stopper formed on the inner bottom surface of the table top and a first limiting portion, and a hook portion formed on the supporting member.

In some embodiments, the hook portion can be further divided into a main hook portion and a secondary hook portion.

In summary, some embodiments of the present invention provide a folding table, which has a first state and a second state by configuring the first and second positioning portions of the support member and the first and second positioning holes of the table top. In addition, the stability of the folding table in the first state is further improved by configuring the position limiting mechanism. Furthermore, some embodiments of the present invention provide a table top with a fixed portion, thereby reducing the space occupied by the folding table in the second state, so that the user can store the folding table in a small space according to his needs.

The following disclosure provides different embodiments or illustrations for implementing different features of the subject matter provided. Specific illustrations of components and configurations are described below to simplify the present invention. Of course, these are merely illustrative and not intended to be limiting. For example, in the following description, the formation of a first feature above or on a second feature may include an embodiment in which the first feature and the second feature are directly in contact, and may also include an embodiment in which an additional feature may be formed between the first feature and the second feature so that the first feature and the second feature may not be in direct contact. Fig. 1 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a folding table in a first state (expanded state) according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a folding table in a second state (folded state) according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the present invention mainly relates to a foldable folding table.

FIG3 is a schematic diagram of the folding table in FIG1 . As shown in FIG1 and FIG3 , in some embodiments of the present invention, the folding table 100 includes a table top 1 and two supporting members 2, and the two supporting members 2 are pivotally connected to the table top 1. As shown in FIG1 , in some embodiments, the center of the table top 1 has a recessed area 11 and a plurality of grooves 12 arranged at the periphery of the recessed area, and the grooves 12 are respectively arranged at the rear position and the two sides of the recessed area 11. In some embodiments, the grooves 12 can be further divided into a first groove 12a and a second groove 12b with different depths and recessed shapes. In the present embodiment, there is a first groove 12a and two second grooves 12b with a shallower depth than the first groove 12a, which can be used by users to place some stationery or equipment according to their needs, such as pencils, erasers, mobile phones, tablets, etc. It is particularly worth mentioning that in the present embodiment, the first groove 12a has a first side S1 and a second side S2 opposite to each other, and the depth of the first groove 12a at the first side S1 is deeper than the depth of the first groove 12a at the second side S2, so that when the user places a mobile phone or a tablet in the first groove 12a, the screen of the mobile phone or the tablet can maintain a tilted angle, providing the user with a better visual angle. In addition, in some embodiments, the first groove 12a further has a through hole O, and the user can pass the charging cable connected to the device being charged through the table top 1 through the through hole O, or the user can remove waste such as eraser scraps or liquid droplets from the table top 1 through the through hole O.

FIG. 4 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of the folding table in FIG. 1 at another angle. As shown in FIG. 4 , in some embodiments, each end of the table top 1 has a hinge assembly 13, and the two supporting members 2 are hinged to the hinge assembly 13 at the two ends of the table top 1. In some embodiments, each hinge assembly 13 has two hinge pieces 131 arranged parallel to each other, and each hinge piece 131 has a hinge hole Hp, a first positioning hole H1, and a second positioning hole H2. In the same hinge assembly 13, the hinge holes Hp of the two hinge pieces 131 are arranged correspondingly to each other, the first positioning holes H1 of the two hinge pieces 131 are arranged correspondingly to each other, and the second positioning holes H2 of the two hinge pieces 131 are arranged correspondingly to each other.

Please refer to FIG. 4 again. In some embodiments, the two supporting members 2 each have two pivoting portions 21 and two positioning portions 22. The pivoting portions 21 are provided with the pivoting holes Hp so that the supporting members 2 are pivoted with the table top 1. The positioning portions 22 can be selectively provided with the first positioning holes H1 or the second positioning holes H2 so that the supporting member 2 has a first state and a second state relative to the table top 1.

FIG5 is a schematic diagram of the connection between the table top and the supporting member when the folding table 100 is in the first state. As shown in FIG5, when the folding table 100 is in the first state, the positioning portion 22 of the supporting member 2 penetrates the first positioning holes H1, and the folding table 100 is unfolded. The folding table 100 in the first state is unfolded, which is convenient for users to write, eat, etc. on the table top 1.

FIG6 is a schematic diagram of the connection between the table top and the supporting member when the folding table 100 in FIG2 is in the second state. As shown in FIG6, when the folding table 100 is in the second state, the positioning portion 22 of the supporting member 2 is penetrated by the second positioning holes H2, and the folding table 100 is in a folded state. The folding table 100 in the second state is in a folded state, which is beneficial for the user to store the folding table 100 in a narrow space and reduce the space occupied by the folding table 100.

It is worth mentioning that some embodiments of the present invention are conducive to stacking multiple folding tables 100 stably. In some embodiments, the table top 1 further has a fixing portion 14, which is used to stack multiple folding tables 100 in the second state stably through the setting of the fixing portion 14. In this embodiment, the fixing portion 14 is a fan-shaped shape that matches the shape of the hinge 131, but this case does not limit the shape of the fixing portion 14. In other embodiments, the shape of the fixing portion 14 can change with the shape of the hinge 131.

FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram of multiple folding tables in the second state stacked on each other. For the convenience of explanation, the multiple folding tables 100 in FIG. 7 are divided into folding tables 101 and 102. The folding table 101 is placed above the folding table 102. The lower edge of the hinge 131 of the folding table 101 leans against the fixed portion 14 of the folding table 102, so that the folding table 101 can be stably placed above the folding table 102.

FIG8 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the folding table along the A-A section line in FIG1. As shown in FIG8, in some embodiments, the folding table 100 further includes a limiting mechanism 3, which includes: a stopper 15, a first limiting portion 16, and a hook portion 23, for strengthening the stability of the folding table 100 in the first state and the second state.

FIG9 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a table top in an embodiment of the present invention. FIG10 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a table top in an embodiment of the present invention from another angle. As shown in FIG9 and FIG10, in the present embodiment, the table top 1 can be divided into an outer top surface T1, an outer side surface T2, an inner bottom surface B1 and an inner side surface B2. The outer top surface T1 refers to one side of the table top 1 on the horizontal plane that is relatively far from the support member 2, the inner bottom surface B1 refers to one side of the table top 1 on the horizontal plane that is relatively close to the support member 2, the outer side surface T2 refers to one side of the non-planar portion of the side edge of the table top 1 that is relatively far from the support member 2, and the inner side surface B2 refers to one side of the non-planar portion of the side edge of the table top 1 that is relatively close to the support member 2.

Please refer to Figures 8, 9, 10 and 11. In this embodiment, the limiting mechanism 3 includes a stopper 15 formed on the inner bottom surface B1 of the table top 1, a first limiting portion 16 formed on the inner bottom surface B1 of the table top 1, and a hook 23 formed on the support member 2. When the folding table 100 is in the first state, the hook 23 abuts against the stopper 15 and the first limiting portion 16, and the hook 23 is between the stopper 15 and the first limiting portion 16 to enhance the stability of the folding table 100 in the first state. It should be noted that the present invention does not limit the number and shape of the hook portion 23. As shown in FIG. 11, in some embodiments, the hook portion 23 is further divided into a main hook portion 23a and two auxiliary hook portions 23b slightly smaller in volume than the main hook portion 23a. The main hook portion 23a is disposed between the two auxiliary hook portions 23b. The mechanism and principle of the main hook portion 23a and the two auxiliary hook portions 23b are the same as those of the previous hook portion 23, so they are not repeated. The main hook portion 23a and the two auxiliary hook portions 23b interact with the stopper portion 15 and the first limit portion 16 respectively disposed thereto, thereby limiting the movable relationship, distance and angle between the table top 1 and the support member 2.

In summary, some embodiments of the present invention provide a folding table, which has a first state and a second state by configuring the first and second positioning parts of the support member and the first and second positioning holes of the table top. In addition, the stability of the folding table in the first state is further improved by configuring the limiting mechanism. Furthermore, some embodiments of the present invention provide a table top with a fixed part, thereby reducing the space occupied by the folding table in the second state, so that the user can store the folding table in a small space according to his needs.

Claims (10)

A folding table includes: a table top, each end of which has a hinge set, each hinge set has two hinge pieces arranged parallel to each other, the hinge piece has a hinge hole, a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole; and two supporting members, which are hinged to the table top and each has: two hinge parts, which penetrate the hinge holes so that the supporting members are hinged to the table top; and two positioning parts, which can selectively penetrate the first positioning holes or the second positioning holes so that the supporting member has a first state and a second state relative to the table top. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein when the support member is in a first state relative to the table top, the positioning portion is provided with the first positioning holes. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein when the support member is in a second state relative to the table top, the positioning portion is provided with the second positioning holes. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein the table top further has a recessed area. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein the table top further has a first groove having a first side and a second side opposite to each other, and the depth of the first groove on the first side is deeper than the depth of the first groove on the second side. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein the table top further has a first groove and two second grooves shallower than the first groove. A folding table as described in claim 6, wherein the first groove further has a through hole. A folding table as described in claim 1, wherein the table top further has a fixed portion. The folding table as described in claim 1 further includes a limiting mechanism, which includes: a stop portion and a first limiting portion formed on the inner bottom surface of the table top and a hook portion formed on the supporting member. The folding table as described in claim 9, wherein the hook portion can be further divided into a main hook portion and two auxiliary hook portions.
