由於本創作的保潔布料10係以一高密度織布為基材1，所以基材1即具有較高的耐磨性及對於水分的防護力，所以在經由防潑水層2附著於基材1纖維中及外表面後(可採用防潑水劑塗層或浸潤方式達成)，即可令基材1具有良好防潑水功能的效益性，而後再以PU防水層3包覆結合於防潑水層2外部提供保護後(PU防水層3同樣可採用PU塗層或浸潤PU防水劑方式達成包覆，PU係為Polyurethane的名詞縮寫，中文稱為”聚氨基甲酸酯”，簡稱聚氨酯，材質的耐磨性佳、延伸度廣、抗張強度高、有透氣性)，由於PU防水層3是常態保持保護在防潑水層2外部，所以可以令基材1纖維的防潑水效果不易因為受到長久使用的破壞而遞減，因此在保潔布料10製成保潔墊4、枕頭套5、床單……等成品後(如圖3所示)，不但具有防刮、耐磨的特性而保有使用年限長的特點，而且防水、透氣效果佳，更可滿足高溫洗滌、烘乾的清洗需求，所以可以不需額外準備替換的成品(可以馬上清洗、烘乾)，有效降低消費者的使用成本。而且保潔布料10一旦發生PU防水層3受到破壞時，由於內部的基材1同樣具有防潑水層2的防潑水功能保護，因此髒污、水分仍然無法繼續滲入，有效達到完整保潔之目的。
