Abstract

A protective housing having a rear surface that suitable for a electronic device is disclosed. The rear surface includes a first region and a second region. The protective housing includes a back plate, a hinge module, and a supporting plate. The back plate is disposed on the first region. The hinge module is connected to the back plate along a first direction. The supporting plate is connected to the hinge module and covers the second region. The supporting plate has a first supporting side and at least one second supporting side. The first supporting side is parallel to the first direction. The at least one second supporting side is adjacent to the first supporting side and is not parallel to the first direction. When the supporting plate is rotated relative to the back plate and an included angle is formed between the back plate and the supporting plate, the electronic device is abutted against a plane by the first supporting side or the at least one second supporting side.

This case is about a protective case, and especially a protective case for an electronic device.

Portable electronic devices are usually equipped with a protective case to protect the electronic device. However, after the electronic device is equipped with a protective case, if the electronic device is to be combined with other supporting structures, assembly is often troublesome, which is quite inconvenient.

The present application provides a protective case suitable for an electronic device. The electronic device has a back surface, a first area and a second area. The protective shell includes a back plate, a pivot module and a support plate. The backplane is arranged in the first area. The pivot module is disposed on the backplane along a first direction. The support plate is connected to the pivot module and covers the second area. The support plate has a first support side and at least a second support side. The first support side is parallel to the first direction. At least one second support side is adjacent to the first support side and not parallel to the first direction. When the supporting plate is turned over relative to the backing plate and forms an included angle with the backing plate, the electronic device rests against a plane through the first supporting side or at least one second supporting side.

Based on the above, the protective case of the present application provides support for the electronic device in different directions through the support plate, so as to meet different usage scenarios of the electronic device.

Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B , a protective case 100 of the present application is suitable for an electronic device 200 , and the electronic device 200 has a rear surface RS, a first area 210 and a second area 220 . In practical applications, the electronic device 200 is, for example, a smart phone, a tablet computer, or other similar portable electronic devices. The protective case 100 provides a protective effect to the electronic device 200 . When the electronic device 200 is subjected to external force, the protective case 100 can absorb part of the external force to achieve the protective effect.

The protective case 100 in this case includes a back plate 110 , a pivot module 120 and a support plate 130 .

Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B , the backplane 110 is disposed on the backside RS of the electronic device 200 , wherein the backplane 110 is adapted to be fixed to the backside RS by means of snaps, screws or other means. The pivot module 120 is disposed on the back plate 110 along a first direction D1, and in one embodiment, the pivot module 120 is disposed at the center of the rear surface RS. The pivot module 120 extends bidirectionally to opposite sides of the electronic device 200 . The support plate 130 is connected to the pivot module 120 and covers the second area 220 . The support plate 130 has a first support side S1 and at least one second support side S2 , and the second support side S2 is connected to the pivot module from the support plate 130 . One side of the group 120 extends to the first support side S1. The first support side S1 is parallel to the first direction D1, and the second support side S2 is adjacent to the first support side S1 and not parallel to the first direction D1.

In this embodiment, the support plate 130 is a quadrilateral structure, the first supporting side S1 is located at the long side of the quadrilateral structure, and the first supporting side S1 is away from the pivot module 120 . The second support side S2 is located on the short side of the quadrilateral structure.

Referring to FIGS. 1C to 1E , the support plate 130 is flipped relative to the back plate 110 through the pivot module 120 , and a first angle A1 exists between the back plate 110 and the support plate 130 . The user can adjust the size of a first included angle A1 by flipping the support plate 130 to select the best use angle.

1C to 1E , when the second support side S2 abuts against a plane FP, the electronic device 200 is in an upright mode, wherein the first angle A1 between the back plate 110 and the support plate 130 is 90 degrees. In the upright mode, the electronic device 200 and the support plate 130 have a T-shaped appearance (see FIG. 1E ). Since the support plate 130 is located at the center of the electronic device 200 , the electronic device 200 can achieve a left-right balanced support effect. Referring to FIG. 1D , in an embodiment, in the upright mode, the angle range of a second included angle A2 between the second support side S2 and the back plate 110 is 60 degrees to 70 degrees.

Referring to FIG. 1F , when the first support side S1 abuts against the plane FP, the electronic device 200 is in a transverse mode, wherein the first angle A1 between the back plate 110 and the support plate 130 is greater than 0 degrees and less than 180 degrees. In the landscape mode, the flipping degree of the support plate 130 can be adjusted according to requirements to change the first included angle A1 , thereby changing the viewing angle of the electronic device 200 .

Referring to FIG. 1A and FIG. 1C , the backplane 110 includes a first coupling member 140 for coupling to the first region 210 of the electronic device 200 . The first coupling element 140 is a magnetic element, a snap element, a screw element or a sticking element, and is fixed to the first region 210 by magnetic attraction, snapping, locking or sticking.

The support plate 110 includes a second coupling member 150 for coupling to the second region 220 . The second coupling element 150 is a magnetic element, a snap element, a screw element or a sticking element, and is fixed to the second area 220 by magnetic attraction, snapping, locking or sticking.

Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B , when the first angle A1 between the back panel 110 and the support panel 130 is 180 degrees and the support panel 130 is attached to the back surface RS, the electronic device 200 is in the handheld mode. In detail, the protective case 100 further includes a second coupling member 150 disposed on the support plate 130 , and the second coupling member 150 corresponds to a second area 220 on the back RS of the electronic device 200 . When the support plate 130 is attached to the back surface RS, the second coupling member 150 and the second area 220 are combined with each other to fix the support plate 130 on the back surface RS.

When the user wants to release the hand-held mode of the electronic device 200 , the support plate 130 can be turned over by an external force, so that the second coupling member 150 is separated from the second area 220 , and the turning degree of the support plate 130 can be adjusted according to requirements, and the support plate 130 can be turned over. The first support side S1 or the second support side S2 of the device is abutted against the plane FP, so that the electronic device 200 can be used in a vertical mode or a landscape mode.

FIG. 2 is a schematic top view of a protective case according to another embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 2 , the protective case 100A of this embodiment differs from the protective case 100 of FIG. 1A in that the number of at least one second supporting side S2 of the supporting plate 130 a is two, which are located on opposite sides of the supporting plate 130 a respectively. Referring to FIG. 1D , when the electronic device 200 is in the upright mode, the user pushes one of the second supporting sides S2 against the plane or pushes the other second supporting side S2 against the plane. In this description, the user can freely choose to abut any second support side S2 against the plane, so that the electronic device 200 can be in the upright mode in both directions.

Further, referring to FIG. 2 , the included angles of the two second support sides S2 with respect to the first direction D1 are the same. In other embodiments, the included angles of the two second support sides with respect to the first direction are different.

FIG. 3 is a schematic plan view of a protective case according to another embodiment of the present application.

The difference between the protective case 100B of this embodiment and the protective case 100 of FIG. 1A is that the protective case 100B includes a plurality of hooks 160b and a strap 170b. A plurality of hooks 160b are disposed on opposite edges E of the backboard 110b, and the straps 170b are wound around the plurality of hooks 160b alternately, so that the straps 170b and the backboard 110b together form a half open space, suitable for placing items.

The protective case 100B includes a storage bag 180b having a mesh bag body 181b and a zipper structure 182b. The mesh bag body 181b is suitable for storing various articles 300, and the opening of the mesh bag body is closed through the zipper structure 182b to prevent the articles 300 from falling.

In one embodiment, the storage bag 180b and the support plate 130b are connected to each other through an adhesive material.

To sum up, the protective case of the present application provides support for the electronic device in different directions through the support plate, so as to meet different usage scenarios of the electronic device.

A protective case, suitable for an electronic device, the electronic device has a back surface, a first area and a second area, the protective case includes: a backplane, disposed in the first area; a pivot module disposed on the backplane along a first direction; and a support plate connected to the pivot module and covering the second area, the support plate has a first support side and at least a second support side, wherein the first support side is parallel to the first direction, the at least one second support side is adjacent to the first support side and not parallel to the first direction; Wherein, the support plate is suitable for turning relative to the back plate and forms an included angle with the back plate, so that the electronic device can rest on a plane through the first support side or the at least one second support side. The protective case of claim 1, wherein the support plate is a quadrilateral structure, the first supporting side is located at a long side of the quadrilateral structure, and the at least one second supporting side is located at a short side of the quadrilateral structure . The protective case of claim 1, wherein the number of the at least one second support side is two, and the two second support sides are respectively located on opposite sides of the support plate. The protective case as claimed in claim 1, wherein the back plate has a first coupling member for coupling to the first region. The protective case according to claim 4, wherein the first coupling element is a magnetic element, a snap element, a screw element or an adhesive element. The protective case as claimed in claim 1, wherein the support plate has a second coupling member for coupling with the second region. The protective case according to claim 6, wherein the second coupling element is a magnetic element, a snap element, a screw element or an adhesive element. The protective case according to claim 1, wherein the back plate comprises a plurality of hooks and a strap, forming a half open space. The protective case of claim 1, wherein the support plate includes a storage bag.
