Abstract
Disclosed is a composite brace damper, including: a first elongate body and a second elongate body deposited opposite to each other based on a reference plane along the length direction to form a shaft element. The first elongate body and the second elongate body have different stress strain characteristics, and are located at two opposite sides of the reference plane. As such, the shaft element is configured to have asymmetry in stress strain characteristics against the reference plane. Accordingly, the composite brace damper can exhibit better energy dissipation capability by combined flexural-and-axial deformation, and stress concentration also can be avoided.
