Abstract
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a number of contacts retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing in-cludes a top wall, a bottom wall, a central slot and a plurality of stan-doffs on the bottom wall. The contact includes a retaining portion re-tained in the insulative housing, a contact portion, a tail portion and a shoulder between the retaining portion and the tail portion. The shoulder engages with the standoffs to protect the contacts when the contacts are installed to the circuit board.
