Abstract

A power supply apparatus including a controller, a digital to analog converter, a first comparator, a D-type flip-flop, a AND gate and a voltage converter is provided. The controller generates digital information and a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal. The digital to analog converter converts the digital information to a variable reference voltage. The first comparator compares the variable reference voltage and a direct-current voltage outputted by the power supply apparatus so as to generate a comparison signal. The D-type flip-flop switches a latch signal to a first level when the comparison signal is in the first level, and adjusts the latch signal according to the PWM signal when the comparison signal is in a second level. The AND gate provides a modulation control signal according to the latch signal and the PWM signal. The voltage converter converts an alternating-current voltage to the direct-current voltage according to the modulation control signal.
