Abstract

Substrate structures with fluorescent powders and white light LED devices are presented. The substrate structure with fluorescent powders includes mixtures of a fluorescent powder and a glass flux. The blend of the fluorescent powder and a glass flux are heated resulting in a semi-molten glass. The semi-molten glass is then grinded and sieved into fluorescent-glass powders. The fluorescent-glass powders are applied on a substrate. The fluorescent-glass on substrate is heated to create a fluorescent-film on substrate. The substrate structure is optionally assembled with an LED chip to form a white light LED device.
