Description

Display device

The present invention relates to a display device, in particular to a display device which prevents foreign matter from entering the interior of the display device.

Display devices have become a simple and convenient human-computer interaction medium widely used in various fields of our daily life. However, foreign matter (such as dust) entering the internal space of the display device will affect the performance of the display device, such as affecting the optical quality, or damaging the internal components and reducing the service life.

In order to prevent foreign matter (such as dust) from entering the internal space of the display device, tape or foam can be placed between the outer frame and the panel, and between the panel and the tape frame. The existing method is to cut the foam or tape into a square shape (as shown in Figure 1) and assemble it into the display device. However, this design method has a serious problem of material waste, especially for larger display devices, the foam waste is more serious, resulting in increased product production costs. If the foam or tape is cut into rectangles and then spliced into a square shape (as shown in Figure 2), the gap between the splicing will result in the inability to play the role of dustproof sealing.

In view of the above problems, according to one embodiment, a display device includes a panel module, a plastic frame, a dustproof component and an outer frame. The plastic frame carries the panel module. The dustproof component includes an adhesive layer and a foam layer. The foam layer is pressed against the panel module, including a bent foam layer channel. The adhesive layer is attached to the foam layer, including a bent adhesive layer channel. The outer frame presses against the dustproof component to limit the panel module, and makes part of the foam layer cover the adhesive layer channel, and part of the adhesive layer covers the foam layer channel.

In some embodiments, the dustproof component further includes an adhesive layer, the adhesive layer is adhered to the foam layer, the adhesive layer includes a bent adhesive layer channel, the dustproof component is pressed against the outer frame, a portion of the adhesive layer covers the foam layer channel, and a portion of the foam layer covers the adhesive layer channel.

In summary, in any of the embodiments, when foreign matter (such as dust) enters the foam layer channel along with the air, the foreign matter will fall on the viscous layer and adhere to the viscous layer. In addition, the bend, as a buffer space, can extend the time for air to flow in the foam layer channel and increase the rate of foreign matter falling on the viscous layer. Moreover, foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface of the bend of the foam layer and falls on the viscous layer, which can effectively reduce the entry of foreign matter into the display device, thereby achieving the effect of preventing foreign matter from affecting the performance of the display device. When foreign matter enters the viscous layer channel along with the air, the inner wall surface of the viscous layer channel is viscous, and the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface of the viscous layer channel bend and effectively adheres to the inner wall surface of the viscous layer channel, which can effectively reduce the entry of foreign matter into the display device, thereby achieving the effect of preventing foreign matter from affecting the performance of the display device. In addition, in some embodiments, the viscous layer channel and the foam layer channel will connect the internal space and the external space of the display device. In this way, the internal and external pressures of the display device can be balanced, avoiding structural damage to the display device caused by the pressure difference caused by the outer frame being separated from the panel module or the panel module being separated from the plastic frame due to rework or maintenance. In some embodiments, when foreign matter (such as dust) enters the foam layer channel along with the air, the foreign matter will fall onto the adhesive layer and adhere to the adhesive layer. Moreover, the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface of the adhesive layer channel bend and adheres to the inner wall surface of the adhesive layer channel, thereby effectively reducing the entry of foreign matter into the interior of the display device.

40。Please refer to Figures 3 and 4, Figure 3 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a display device of some embodiments, and Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the position of the A-A' section line in Figure 3 of some embodiments. 10。As shown in FIG4 , the plastic frame 20 can support the panel module 10 . The plastic frame 20 can have a supporting portion 22 , and the upper surface 22 a of the supporting portion 22 supports the panel module 10 .

40b。Please refer to FIG. 4, FIG. 5, FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B, FIG. 5 is a partial bottom view of a display device with a panel module removed in some embodiments, FIG. 6A is an enlarged schematic diagram (I) of the position marked B in FIG. 4 in some embodiments, and FIG. 6B is an enlarged schematic diagram of the position marked C in FIG. 4 in some embodiments. In some embodiments, such as FIG. 4 and FIG. 6A, the dustproof component 30 is located between the panel module 10 and the outer frame 40. The dustproof component 30 mainly includes an adhesive layer 32 and a foam layer 31, and the foam layer 31 abuts against the panel module 10. Furthermore, the foam layer 31 is against the upper surface 10a of the panel module 10, and the two opposite sides of the adhesive layer 32 are respectively adhered to the surface of the foam layer 31 that does not contact the panel module 10 and the lower surface 40b of the outer frame 40.

22a。In some embodiments, such as FIG. 4 and FIG. 6B , the display device 1 may further include another dustproof component 30, located between the panel module 10 and the plastic frame 20, and the other dustproof component 30 also includes a foam layer 31 and an adhesive layer 32. In this embodiment, the foam layer 31 abuts against the lower surface 10b of the panel module 10, and the opposite sides of the adhesive layer 32 are respectively adhered to the surface of the foam layer 31 that does not abut against the panel module 10 and the upper surface 22a of the supporting portion 22 of the plastic frame 20.

In FIG5 , the adhesive layer 32 is located between the foam layer 31 and the outer frame 40, which means that from the perspective of FIG5 , the foam layer 31 is stacked on the adhesive layer 32. The foam layer 31 includes a bent foam layer channel 310. The bend of the foam layer channel 310 can be, but is not limited to, a step-shaped (as shown in FIG7A ) or an arc-shaped (as shown in FIG7D ).

Here, the foam layer 31 includes a substrate with air permeability and cushioning properties, such as a substrate made of polyethylene (PE) foam, and the foam layer 31 can be but not limited to single-sided foam glue or double-sided foam glue, and the foam layer 31 can also have a structure where no adhesive is applied on both sides. In addition, the foam layer 31 is air permeable and can filter foreign matter (such as dust) while being air permeable.

Please continue to refer to FIG. 5 . In some embodiments, the foam layer 31 may include a first foam layer 311 and a second foam layer 312 . Here, the first foam layer 311 and the second foam layer 312 may be in the shape of strips, and the joint between the first foam layer 311 and the second foam layer 312 is the foam layer channel 310 . In other words, the foam layer channel 310 is located between the first foam layer 311 and the second foam layer 312 .

Please continue to refer to FIG5 , the adhesive layer 32 includes a bent adhesive layer channel 320. Here, the adhesive layer 32 is, for example, a tape with adhesive on both sides, and the adhesive layer channel 320 is a portion without the tape. The bend of the adhesive layer channel 320 can be, but is not limited to, a step-shaped (as shown in FIG8D ) or an arc-shaped (as shown in FIG8C ).

In some embodiments, the adhesive layer 32 may include a first adhesive layer 321 and a second adhesive layer 322. Here, the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322 may be in the shape of long strips, and the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322 are sequentially attached along the side of the outer frame 40. The joint of the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322 is the adhesive layer channel 320, in other words, the adhesive layer channel 320 is located between the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322.

310。Please continue to refer to FIG. 5 . The orthographic projection plane of the viscous layer channel 320 and the foam layer channel 310 projected on the horizontal plane will not overlap, that is, the viscous layer channel 320 and the foam layer channel 310 are misaligned with each other on the orthographic projection plane. Therefore, in some embodiments, such as FIG. 6A , when the outer frame 40 presses against the dustproof component 30 (including the viscous layer 32 and the foam layer 31 ) to limit the panel module 10, a portion of the foam layer 31 will cover the viscous layer channel 320 , and a portion of the viscous layer 32 will cover the foam layer channel 310 . Furthermore, in some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6B , when the panel module 10 presses against the dustproof component 30 , a portion of the foam layer 31 covers the adhesive layer channel 320 , and a portion of the adhesive layer 32 covers the foam layer channel 310 .

310。Furthermore, in some embodiments, when the outer frame 40 mortgages the foam layer 31 and the adhesive layer 32, or when the panel module 10 presses against the dustproof component 30, the foam layer 31 is compressed and the portion overlapping with the adhesive layer channel 320 sinks into the adhesive layer channel 320 to fill part of the adhesive layer channel 320. At this time, the adhesive layer 32 is also compressed and the portion overlapping with the foam layer channel 310 sinks into the foam layer channel 310 to fill part of the foam layer channel 310.

Thus, as shown in FIG. 4 , FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B , when foreign matter (such as dust) enters the foam layer channel 310 along with the air, the foreign matter will fall on the adhesive layer 32 and adhere to the adhesive layer 32. In addition, the bend, as a buffer space, can extend the time for air to flow in the foam layer channel 310 and increase the rate of foreign matter falling on the adhesive layer 32. Moreover, the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 31a of the bend of the foam layer 31 and falls on the adhesive layer 32, which can effectively reduce the entry of foreign matter into the interior of the display device 1 (such as the hollow area 60 in FIG. 4 ). When foreign matter enters the viscous layer channel 320 along with the air, the inner wall surface 32a of the viscous layer channel 320 is viscous and the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 32a at the bend of the viscous layer channel 320 and effectively adheres to the inner wall surface 32a of the viscous layer channel 320, thereby effectively reducing the entry of foreign matter into the interior of the display device 1 (such as the hollow area 60 in Figure 4).

In this way, when air passes through the dustproof component 30 between the panel module 10 and the outer frame 40, and through the dustproof component 30 between the panel module 10 and the plastic frame 20, it can effectively reduce the entry of foreign matter into the space S or the hollow area 60 between the panel module 10, the plastic frame 20 and the outer frame 40, thereby preventing foreign matter from affecting the performance of the display device 1.

6A , in some embodiments, the width W1 of the foam layer channel 310 and the width W2 of the adhesive layer channel 320 are between 0.5 mm and 5 mm. Preferably, in some embodiments, the width W1 of the foam layer channel 310 and the width W2 of the adhesive layer channel 320 are about 1 mm. In this way, the foam layer channel 310 and the adhesive layer channel 320 can promote foreign objects to fall into the adhesive layer channel 320 and the foam layer channel 310, effectively preventing foreign objects from entering the display device 1 with the air.

310a。Please refer to FIG. 7A , which is a schematic diagram of the foam layer of some embodiments. The foam layer channel 310 includes a first foam layer opening 310a and a second foam layer opening 310b. The first foam layer opening 310a is located at the outer side 31b of the foam layer 31, and the second foam layer opening 310b is located at the inner side 31c of the foam layer 31. Specifically, from the center of the hollow area 60 (as shown in FIG. 4 ) of the display device 1 to the outside, there are the second foam layer opening 310b located at the inner side 31c, the foam layer channel 310 itself, and the first foam layer opening 310a located at the outer side 31b.

320a。Please refer to FIG. 8A, which is a schematic diagram of the adhesive layer of some embodiments. In some embodiments, the adhesive layer channel 320 includes a first adhesive layer opening 320a and a second adhesive layer opening 320b. The first adhesive layer opening 320a is located at the outer side 32b of the adhesive layer 32, and the second adhesive layer opening 320b is located at the inner side 32c of the adhesive layer 32. Specifically, from the center of the hollow area 60 (as shown in FIG. 4) of the display device 1 to the outside, there are the second adhesive layer opening 320b located at the inner side 32c, the adhesive layer channel 320 itself, and the first adhesive layer opening 320a located at the outer side 32b.

In other words, the adhesive layer channel 320 and the foam layer channel 310 connect the inner space and the outer space of the display device 1. In this way, the inner and outer pressures of the display device 1 can be balanced, and the structural damage to the display device 1 caused by the pressure difference when the outer frame 40 is separated from the panel module 10 or the panel module 10 is separated from the plastic frame 20 during rework or repair can be avoided.

Please refer to FIG. 7A to FIG. 7D , FIG. 7B to FIG. 7D are partial schematic diagrams (I) to (III) of the foam layer of some embodiments. In some embodiments, the foam layer 31 includes a first foam layer 311 and a second foam layer 312. The first foam layer 311 includes a first foam layer concave portion 311a, and the second foam layer 312 includes a second foam layer convex portion 312a. The second foam layer convex portion 312a is located in the first foam layer concave portion 311a, and a foam layer channel 310 is formed between the first foam layer concave portion 311a and the second foam layer convex portion 312a. For example, as shown in FIG7A , the first foam layer concave portion 311a is a step-shaped portion, and the second foam layer convex portion 312a can be located exactly in the first foam layer concave portion 311a, so that a step-shaped foam layer channel 310 is formed between the first foam layer concave portion 311a and the second foam layer convex portion 312a. The present invention does not limit the shapes of the first foam layer concave portion 311a and the second foam layer convex portion 312a. For example, in FIG7B and FIG7C , the first foam layer concave portion 311a and the second foam layer convex portion 312a are both roughly rectangular, and the second foam layer convex portion 312a can be located exactly in the first foam layer concave portion 311a. As another example, as shown in FIG. 7D , the first foam layer concave portion 311 a and the second foam layer convex portion 312 a are both approximately semicircular, and the second foam layer convex portion 312 a can be located exactly in the first foam layer concave portion 311 a .

As shown in FIG. 7E , it is a partial schematic diagram of the foam layer of some embodiments (IV). In some embodiments, the first foam layer 311 includes a first foam layer concave portion 311a, and one end of the second foam layer 312 is located at the first foam layer concave portion 311a to form a foam layer channel 310. Different from the previous embodiments, the second foam layer 312 of this embodiment does not have a second foam layer convex portion 312a (as shown in FIG. 7A to FIG. 7D ), that is, the second foam layer 312 is not cut and is roughly in the shape of a long rectangular strip.

Through the designs of some of the aforementioned embodiments, the length of the foam layer channel 310 can be extended, and the number of bends or the angles of the bends can be increased, which can promote foreign objects to fall into the foam layer channel 310 and effectively prevent foreign objects from entering the display device 1 along with the air.

Please refer to FIG. 8A to FIG. 8D , FIG. 8B to FIG. 8D are partial schematic diagrams (I) to (III) of the adhesive layer of some embodiments. In some embodiments, the adhesive layer 32 includes a first adhesive layer 321 and a second adhesive layer 322. The first adhesive layer 321 includes a first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, and the second adhesive layer 322 includes a second adhesive layer convex portion 322a. The second adhesive layer convex portion 322a is located in the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, and an adhesive layer channel 320 is formed between the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a. For example, as shown in FIG. 8A and FIG. 8B , the first adhesive layer concave portion 321 a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322 a are approximately rectangular, and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322 a matches the shape of the first adhesive layer concave portion 321 a and can be located exactly in the first adhesive layer concave portion 321 a.

320。It should be noted that the present invention does not limit the shapes of the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a. For example, as shown in FIG8C , the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a are approximately semicircular, and an arc-shaped adhesive layer channel 320 is formed between the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a. For another example, as shown in FIG8D , the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a is approximately stepped, and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a can be located at the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, so that a stepped adhesive layer channel 320 is formed between the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a and the second adhesive layer convex portion 322a.

As shown in FIG8E, it is a partial schematic diagram of the adhesive layer of some embodiments (IV). In some embodiments, one end of the first adhesive layer 321 is the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, and one end of the second adhesive layer 322 is located in the first adhesive layer concave portion 321a to form an adhesive layer channel 320. Different from the previous embodiments, the second adhesive layer 322 of this embodiment does not have a second adhesive layer convex portion 322a (as shown in FIG8A to FIG8D), that is, the second adhesive layer 322 is not cut and is roughly in the shape of a long rectangular strip.

Through the designs of some of the aforementioned embodiments, the length of the adhesive layer channel 320 can be extended, and the number of bends or the angles of the bends can be increased, which can promote foreign objects to fall into the adhesive layer channel 320 and effectively prevent foreign objects from entering the display device 1 along with the air.

32。Please refer to FIG. 9, which is a schematic diagram of the assembly process of the dustproof component of some embodiments. Here, FIG. 9 omits the plastic frame 20 and the panel module 10. In some embodiments, the first adhesive layer 321 is first cut to have a first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, and the second adhesive layer 322 is first cut to have a second adhesive layer convex portion 322a. Then, the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322 are sequentially pasted along the side of the panel module 10 into a square shape, or pasted along the upper surface 22a of the support portion 22 of the plastic frame 20 into a square shape. Alternatively, only the first adhesive layer 321 is first cut to have a first adhesive layer concave portion 321a, and the second adhesive layer 322 is not cut. Then, the first adhesive layer 321 and the second adhesive layer 322 (without the second adhesive layer protrusion 322a) are sequentially pasted along the side of the panel module 10 into a square shape, or along the upper surface 22a of the supporting portion 22 of the plastic frame 20 into a square shape. Finally, the cut foam layer 31 (see FIG. 7A for details) is pasted on the cut adhesive layer 32.

33a。Please refer to FIG. 10 , which is an enlarged schematic diagram (II) of the position marked B in FIG. 4 of some embodiments. In some embodiments, the dustproof component 30 may further include an adhesive layer 33, and the adhesive layer 33 is adhered to the foam layer 31. The adhesive layer 33 includes a bent adhesive layer channel 330. When the outer frame 40 presses against the dustproof component 30, a portion of the adhesive layer 33 covers the foam layer channel 310, and a portion of the foam layer 31 covers the adhesive layer channel 330. In other words, the foam layer channel 310 overlaps the portion of the adhesive layer 33 that does not have the adhesive layer channel 330, and the adhesive layer channel 330 overlaps the portion of the foam layer 31 that does not have the foam layer channel 310. In addition, the inner wall surface 33 a of the adhesive layer channel 330 is sticky, and foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 33 a at the bend of the adhesive layer channel 330 and effectively adheres to the inner wall surface 33 a of the adhesive layer channel 330 .

Here, the adhesive layer 33 is, for example, a tape with adhesive on both sides, and the adhesive layer channel 330 is a portion without the tape. The bending part of the adhesive layer channel 330 can be, but not limited to, a step-shaped or arc-shaped shape. In addition, the dustproof component 30 of this embodiment can be, but not limited to, disposed between the panel module 10 and the outer frame 40, and can also be disposed between the panel module 10 and the plastic frame 20 (as shown in FIG. 4).

In summary, in any of the embodiments, when foreign matter (such as dust) enters the foam layer channel 310 along with the air, the foreign matter will fall on the adhesive layer 32 and adhere to the adhesive layer 32. In addition, the bend, as a buffer space, can extend the time for air to flow in the foam layer channel 310 and increase the rate of foreign matter falling on the adhesive layer 32. Moreover, the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 31a of the bend of the foam layer 31 and falls on the adhesive layer 32, which can effectively reduce the entry of foreign matter into the interior of the display device 1, thereby achieving the effect of preventing foreign matter from affecting the performance of the display device 1. When foreign matter enters the viscous layer channel 320 along with the air, the inner wall surface 32a of the viscous layer channel 320 is viscous and the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 32a at the bend of the viscous layer channel 320 and effectively adheres to the inner wall surface 32a of the viscous layer channel 320, thereby effectively reducing the foreign matter from entering the interior of the display device 1, thereby achieving the effect of preventing the foreign matter from affecting the performance of the display device 1. In addition, in some embodiments, the viscous layer channel 320 and the foam layer channel 310 connect the inner space and the outer space of the display device 1. In this way, the internal and external pressures of the display device 1 can be balanced, and the pressure difference caused by the outer frame 40 being separated from the panel module 10 or the panel module 10 being separated from the plastic frame 20 during rework or maintenance can be avoided, which can cause structural damage to the display device 1. In some embodiments, when foreign matter (such as dust) enters the foam layer channel 310 along with the air, the foreign matter will fall on the adhesive layer 33 and adhere to the adhesive layer 33, and the foreign matter is easily blocked by the inner wall surface 33a of the bend of the adhesive layer channel 330 and adhere to the inner wall surface 33a of the adhesive layer channel 330, so that the entry of foreign matter into the interior of the display device 1 can be effectively reduced.
