Abstract

An anti-slip torque tool that utilizes a plurality of grooves to prevent slippage and facilitate torque transfer to a fastener. The tool includes a wrench torque-tool body and an at least one engagement element. The wrench torque-tool body includes a plurality of internal sidewalls, a first base, and a second base. Further, each of the internal sidewalls includes a bracing surface. The engagement element includes a first pair of grooves and a second pair of grooves, wherein each further includes a primary cavity and a secondary cavity. The engagement element is laterally integrated into a specific sidewall to provide additional gripping action. The first pair of grooves and the second pair of grooves are positioned offset from each other, along the bracing surface of the specific sidewall. The primary cavity and the secondary cavity each traverse normal and into the bracing surface from the first base to the second base.

The base side surface is preferably a plane; toward the first pair of grooves 17, the second pair of grooves 18, the group of secondary protrusions 26, or the clamping surface 5 relative to the side wall 7, the plane gradually decreases from large to small. The first side surface is connected to the proximal end of the base side surface and is located at the fastener receiving port 30 or the middle side wall 8. The second side surface is connected to the distal end of the base side surface and is located at the clamping surface 5. In other words, the first depth 50 at the proximal intersection of the first side surface and the base side surface is greater than the second depth 51 at the distal end of the base side surface, wherein the base side surface is located at the clamping surface 5, as shown in FIG3. In other embodiments of the present invention, the base side surface may not be tapered but parallel, and may also be a concave or convex surface. For example, the first groove 40, the second groove 41, the third groove 42, and the fourth groove 43 may be a triangle, a circle, a partial circle, a trapezoid, a rectangle, a square, or other geometric shapes. By gradually decreasing the size of the first groove 40 and the second groove 41 (as shown in FIG. 3 ), or by gradually decreasing the size of the third groove 42 and the fourth groove 43 (as shown in FIG. 5 ), the present invention can provide a larger clearance for the side of the fastener, and this can prevent the fastener from being worn or slipped. In other words, when the fastener is coupled to the wrench, the clearance between the fastener side edge and the base side surfaces of the first groove 40, the second groove 41, the third groove 42, and the fourth groove 43 is greater than the clearance between the fastener side surface and the base side surfaces of the first groove 40, the second groove 41, the third groove 42, and the fourth groove 43.
