Description

Deodorizing cat litter

The present invention relates to a litter material for pet litter boxes, and in particular to a deodorizing cat litter with deodorizing properties.

According to statistics from the Council of Agriculture's pet registration management information website, the number of registered dogs and cats has surpassed the number of children under the age of 15 in Taiwan, and the annual output value of the pet market is approximately NT$58 billion, and its development potential continues to grow.

Dogs need to be taken out for walks, jogging and outdoor activities, while cats can use the space at home to meet their needs. During the epidemic, the number of cats has increased significantly. Cats need to be prepared with cat litter and litter boxes. Traditional cat litter mainly uses natural minerals or clay as the main ingredients. Therefore, the main purpose of this creation is to improve the shortcomings of traditional cat litter and produce cat litter that can provide better deodorizing performance and reduce adverse effects on the environment.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a deodorizing cat litter, which is mainly based on plant fiber and corn starch, and is mixed evenly with diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide (TIO2), natural minerals, mildew inhibitors, etc., and then mixed evenly with water, granulated, and dried. It has the characteristics of deodorization and mildew prevention, and can absorb and degrade the odor of feces and urine, bringing win-win benefits to cats and owners.

The present invention discloses a deodorizing cat litter comprising ingredients such as plant fiber, corn starch, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide (TIO2), natural minerals, mildew inhibitor and water.

In one embodiment, the plant fiber, corn starch, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide (TIO2), natural minerals and mildew inhibitors in a predetermined weight ratio are uniformly mixed to form a mixed powder, and then the water in a predetermined weight ratio is added to the mixed powder and stirred to form a mixed wet powder. Then, the mixed wet powder is put into a granulator to be made into elongated granules, and finally, it is dried.

In one embodiment, the plant fiber accounts for about 27-33% of the total weight; the corn starch accounts for about 22-28% of the total weight; the diatom mud accounts for about 7-13% of the total weight; the baking soda accounts for about 1-5% of the total weight; the guar gum accounts for about 3-7% of the total weight; the titanium dioxide (TIO2) accounts for about 0.1% of the total weight; the natural mineral accounts for about 15-21% of the total weight; the mildew inhibitor accounts for about 0.2% of the total weight; and the water accounts for about 5.7-11.7% of the total weight.

In one embodiment, the plant fiber includes pea fiber and bamboo fiber.

In one embodiment, the natural mineral powder is calcium carbonate powder.

A deodorizing cat litter comprises a solid agent for combining plant fiber segments, diatom mud powder, baking soda, guar gum powder, titanium dioxide powder, and natural mineral powder to form a granular structure.

In one embodiment, a mildew preventer is further included in combination with the solid agent.

In one embodiment, the solid agent is composed of corn starch mixed with water.

Among them, the preferred weight proportions of each component are as follows: the plant fiber, its weight proportion accounts for about 27-33% of the whole; the corn starch, its weight proportion accounts for about 22-28% of the whole; the diatom mud, its weight proportion accounts for about 7-13% of the whole; the baking soda, its weight proportion accounts for about 1-5% of the whole; the guar gum, its weight proportion accounts for about 3-7% of the whole; the titanium dioxide (TIO2), its weight proportion accounts for about 0.1% of the whole; the natural mineral, its weight proportion accounts for about 15-21% of the whole; the mildew inhibitor, its weight proportion accounts for about 0.2% of the whole; the water, its weight proportion accounts for about 5.7-11.7% of the whole.

When making the deodorizing cat litter 100 of the present invention, the plant fiber 10, the corn starch 20, the diatom mud 30, the baking soda 40, the guar gum 50, the titanium dioxide (TIO2) 60, the natural mineral 70, the mildew inhibitor 80 and other ingredients in the above preferred weight ratio are uniformly mixed to form a mixed powder P, and then the water 90 in the above preferred weight ratio is added to the mixed powder P and stirred to form a mixed wet powder Q. Then, the mixed wet powder Q is put into a granulator 200 to be made into elongated granules, and finally, it is dried in a dryer 300 to make the deodorizing cat litter 100 of the present invention.

The functions of the various components of the mixed powder P disclosed in this embodiment are described as follows: the plant fiber 10, including pea fiber and bamboo fiber, is a natural material composed of fibers in plant tissues, is a biodegradable material, can be decomposed in the natural environment, and has good water absorption, can quickly absorb liquid, as a cat litter base material, can effectively absorb cat urine and form blocks, can be buried, convenient for disposal, can reduce the impact on the environment, and can produce a natural fragrance, in line with environmental protection requirements.

The corn starch 20 is a starch extracted from corn as raw material. It can quickly absorb water and form a viscous gel state. As a component of cat litter, it can quickly absorb cat urine and bury feces, which can increase the overall water absorption speed. It is natural and non-toxic, and can also be degraded. It will not pollute the environment and is relatively safe for the health of cats.

The diatom mud 30 is a natural mineral material, also known as diatomaceous earth. Because of its porous structure, it has a strong adsorption capacity, can quickly absorb liquid and fix odor, is the best deodorizing tool, provides a good deodorizing effect, makes the air fresh, and has an antibacterial effect, can inhibit the growth of bacteria, and helps to maintain the hygiene of cat litter.

The baking soda 40 is the common name for sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3. It has the ability to absorb moisture and can absorb a certain amount of liquid. It is an alkaline component that helps neutralize the acidic substances produced by cat urine, eliminates odors, and inhibits the growth of other bacteria.

The guar gum 50 is a natural polysaccharide polymer from the cardamom tree plant. It can quickly absorb water and form a viscous gel state. It is an ideal thickener and helps to form and maintain cat litter.

The titanium dioxide (TIO2) 60, commonly known as titanium dioxide, has excellent white pigment properties and can cover the surface of cat litter particles, making the cat litter whiter and improving the appearance quality of the cat litter. It also has excellent photocatalytic properties and can use light energy to decompose organic pollutants into harmless substances, providing a purification function.

The natural mineral 70 is calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which is a common natural mineral that is widely found in the rocks and crust of the earth. It is easy to obtain, has a hygroscopic property that provides additional adsorption capacity, and is a neutral or slightly alkaline substance that can neutralize some acidic substances and help capture and eliminate odors.

The corn starch and water can form a solid agent, which is used to combine plant fiber, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide, and natural minerals to form a granular structure. Plant fiber, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide, and natural minerals can exist in the form of segments or powders. That is, the above ingredients exist in the form of plant fiber segments 110, diatom mud powder 130, baking soda 140, guar gum powder 150, titanium dioxide powder 160, and natural mineral powder 170, and the solid agent is used to combine the plant fiber segments 110, diatom mud powder 130, baking soda 140, guar gum powder 150, titanium dioxide powder 160, and natural mineral powder 170 to form a granular structure. The anti-mildew agent 180 is mixed with the above ingredients and combined with the solid agent.

According to the above description, the deodorizing cat litter 100 of the present invention can be used as the bottom pad of the pet toilet (cat litter box). When the liquid or solid excrement of the cat falls on the deodorizing cat litter 100 of the present invention, it provides better cohesion and can cover the liquid or solid excrement of the animal. A deodorizing cat litter comprises ingredients such as plant fiber, corn starch, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide (TIO2), natural minerals, mildew preventive and water; wherein the plant fiber includes pea fiber and bamboo fiber. For the deodorizing cat litter as described in claim 1, the plant fiber, corn starch, diatom mud, baking soda, guar gum, titanium dioxide (TIO2), natural minerals and mildew inhibitor in a predetermined weight ratio are uniformly mixed to form a mixed powder, and then the water in a predetermined weight ratio is added to the mixed powder and stirred to form a mixed wet powder. Then, the mixed wet powder is put into a granulator to be made into elongated granules, and finally, it is dried. The deodorizing cat litter as described in claim 1, wherein: the plant fiber accounts for about 27-33% of the total weight; the corn starch accounts for about 22-28% of the total weight; the diatom mud accounts for about 7-13% of the total weight; the baking soda accounts for about 1-5% of the total weight; the guar gum accounts for about 3-7% of the total weight; the titanium dioxide (TIO2) accounts for about 0.1% of the total weight; the natural mineral accounts for about 15-21% of the total weight; the mildew inhibitor accounts for about 0.2% of the total weight; and the water accounts for about 5.7-11.7% of the total weight. A deodorizing cat litter comprises a solid agent for combining plant fiber segments, diatom mud powder, baking soda, guar gum powder, titanium dioxide powder, and natural mineral powder to form a granular structure; wherein the plant fiber segments include pea fiber segments and bamboo fiber segments. The deodorizing cat litter as described in claim 5 further comprises a mildew preventive combined with the solid agent. The deodorizing cat litter as described in claim 5, wherein the solid agent is composed of a mixture of corn starch and water. The deodorizing cat litter as described in claim 5, wherein the natural mineral powder is calcium carbonate powder.
