Abstract

A multifunctional bathing chair comprises a base frame unit, a seat unit, and two leaning units. The seat unit comprises a seat on the base frame unit. The leaning units can be adjusted to the left and right sides of the seat unit, respectively. Each leaning unit comprises a support rod rotatably arranged on the seat unit, and a backrest and an armrest mounted on the support rod. The leaning unit can be controlled to change between a rearward position and a forward position relative to the seat unit. When the leaning unit is in the rearward position, the armrest is located beside the seat, the backrest is located behind the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit. When the leaning unit is in the forward position, the backrest is located beside the seat, and the armrest is located in front of the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit. The multifunctional bathing chair can change the state of leaning forward and backward by means of the leaning units, so it is more convenient and practical to use.

Multifunctional bath chair

The present invention relates to a care chair, in particular to a multifunctional bathing chair suitable for people with mobility impairment to sit on.

People with limited mobility, such as the elderly, the sick, the disabled or the incapable of mobility, lack the ability to live independently and often need the assistance of caregivers and assistive devices in some daily activities. For example, potty chairs or bathing chairs are care chairs used to assist with defecation or bathing.

An existing bathing chair generally comprises a base frame with a plurality of chair legs, a seat board disposed on the base frame for the disabled person to sit on, and a back board disposed on the upper rear side of the seat board for the disabled person to lean on. However, during bathing, since the back board cannot be adjusted, displaced or disassembled, it is difficult to wash the back of the disabled person. In this case, the disabled person needs to bend forward to leave the back board in order to wash the back smoothly. However, when the body is bent forward, it is easy to fall and other dangerous situations. Therefore, bathing is often a laborious and time-consuming trouble for caregivers, so the design of existing bathing chairs still needs to be improved.

Therefore, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a multifunctional bathing chair which can at least overcome the shortcomings of the prior art.

Therefore, the multifunctional bathing chair of the present invention comprises a base frame unit, a seat unit, and two leaning units. The seat unit comprises a seat on the base frame unit. The leaning units can be adjusted to the left and right sides of the seat unit, respectively. Each leaning unit comprises a support rod rotatably arranged on the seat unit, and a backrest and an armrest mounted on the support rod. The leaning unit can be controlled to change between a rearward position and a forward position relative to the seat unit. When the leaning unit is in the rearward position, the armrest is located beside the seat, the backrest is located behind the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit. When the leaning unit is in the forward position, the backrest is located beside the seat, and the armrest is located in front of the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit.

The utility model has the following advantages: the multifunctional bathing chair can adjust and change the state of leaning forward and backward to provide support by means of the design that the leaning units can be rotated and positioned, and is very convenient and practical to use.

Referring to FIG. 1 , FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 , an embodiment of the multifunctional bathing chair of the present invention is suitable for providing a person with mobility impairment (not shown) with a seat, and has the functions of assisting defecation, bathing or moving, etc. The multifunctional bathing chair comprises a base frame unit 1 , a seat unit 2 , and two backrest units 3 .

The base unit 1 includes a base 11, five chair legs 12 protruding outward from the base 11 at angle intervals, five casters 13 rotatably mounted on the outer bottoms of the chair legs 12, and a ring-shaped step ring 14 disposed on the chair legs 12. The casters 13 can roll on a ground to facilitate smooth displacement. The step ring 14 can be stepped on by the feet of the mobility-impaired person. It should be noted that the number of the chair legs 12 and the casters 13 is equal but not limited to five. According to actual needs, it can be three, four, six, etc.

The seat unit 2 includes a seat 21 above the base unit 1, a frame 22 disposed at the bottom of the seat 21 and cooperating with the seat 21 to define a chamber 23, a drawer 24 slidably installed in the chamber 23, and a column 25 located below the seat 21 and vertically connecting the frame 22 and the top of the base 11. The seat 21 has a discharge hole 211 connected up and down for the disabled person's excrement to be discharged therefrom. The drawer 24 is located below the discharge hole 211 and is used to receive and accommodate the disabled person's excrement, and the drawer 24 can be pulled out, dumped and discarded to discard the excrement, and then installed back into the chamber 23 after cleaning. The column 25 can rotate relative to the base 11, and can be designed to be adjustable and retractable to drive the frame 22 and the seat 21 to rise and fall together.

The leaning units 3 are respectively adjustable and disposed on the left and right sides of the seat unit 2. Each leaning unit 3 includes a support rod 31 rotatably disposed on the column 25 of the seat unit 2, and a backrest 32 and an armrest 33 mounted on the support rod 31. The support rod 31 has a collar portion 311 rotatably sleeved on the outside of the column 25, a hollow control box portion 312 disposed on the backrest 32, a hollow connecting pipe portion 313 extending from the collar portion 311 outward and upward to the control box portion 312, and a side rod portion 314 connecting the connecting pipe portion 313 and the armrest 33. In this embodiment, the collar portions 311 of the support rods 31 have the same size and are arranged at intervals up and down.

Each of the leaning units 3 can be manipulated to change between a reclining position (see FIG. 4 ) and a forward leaning position (see FIG. 5 ) relative to the seat unit 2. As shown in FIG. 4 , when the leaning unit 3 is in the reclining position, the armrest 33 is located beside the seat 21, the backrest 32 is located behind the seat 21 and adjacent to another leaning unit 3, and the backrest 32 can be used for the back of the mobility-impaired person to lean backward. As shown in FIG. 5 , when the leaning unit 3 is in the forward leaning position, the backrest 32 is located beside the seat 21, the armrest 33 is located in front of the seat 21 and adjacent to another leaning unit 3, and the armrest 33 can be used for the body of the mobility-impaired person to lean forward.

Referring to Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the moving and positioning design of the leaning units 3 is further described. The upright column 25 of the seat unit 2 has two slot sets 251 corresponding to the collar portions 311 of the support rods 31, and each of the slot sets 251 has a rear slot 252 and a front slot 253. The multifunctional bathing chair further comprises two locking units 4, which are respectively installed between the leaning units 3 and the seat unit 2 and respectively correspond to the slot sets 251, and are used to lock the leaning units 3 when they are moved to the rear leaning position and the front leaning position. Each of the locking units 4 includes a locking pin 41 disposed on the ring portion 311 and capable of being detached from or inserted into one of the rear slot 252 and the front slot 253, an elastic member 42 installed in the connecting tube portion 313 and having elasticity to make the locking pin 41 protrude toward the column 25, a connecting line 43 connected to the locking pin 41 and extending into the control box portion 312, and a control button 44 installed in the control box portion 312 and connected to the connecting line 43.

Referring to FIG. 1 , FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 , in a general use state, the leaning units 3 are in the back leaning position, and the latches 41 are respectively locked into the rear locking grooves 252 for positioning. When the person wants to take a bath, the caregiver helps the disabled person to sit on the seat 21 and let the back of the disabled person lean on the backrests 32 of the leaning units 3, and let the feet of the disabled person step on the step ring 14, so that the multifunctional bathing chair can be pushed to the bathroom and the disabled person can be washed and cleaned. When cleaning the back, the control buttons 44 are pulled to pull the connecting wires 43, driving the latches 41 to leave the rear slots 252 and push the elastic members 42 to make them have a restoring elastic force, thereby unlocking the corresponding leaning units 3 so that they can be controlled to rotate around the column 25. Claims (7)

A multifunctional bathing chair comprises: a base frame unit; a seat unit, including a seat on the base frame unit; two leaning units, which can be adjusted to the left and right sides of the seat unit, each of which comprises a support rod rotatably arranged on the seat unit, and a backrest and an armrest mounted on the support rod. The leaning unit can be controlled to change between a rearward position and a forward position relative to the seat unit. , when the leaning unit is in the rearward position, the armrest is located beside the seat, the backrest is located behind the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit, and when the leaning unit is in the forward position, the backrest is located beside the seat, the armrest is located in front of the seat and adjacent to another leaning unit; and two locking units, respectively installed between the leaning units and the seat unit, for locking the leaning units when they are moved to the rearward position and the forward position. The multifunctional bathing chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the seat unit further comprises a column located below the seat and connected to the base unit, and the support rod of each leaning unit comprises a sleeve portion rotatably sleeved on the outside of the column, a hollow control box portion disposed on the backrest, a hollow connecting pipe portion extending outwardly from the sleeve portion and upwardly to the control box portion, and a side rod portion connecting the connecting pipe portion and the armrest. The multifunctional bathing chair as claimed in claim 2, wherein the column has two sleeve rings corresponding to the support rods and for the locking units to be locked. Each of the sleeve rings has a rear locking slot and a front locking slot. Each of the locking units includes a locking pin disposed on the sleeve ring and capable of being separated from or locked into one of the rear locking slot and the front locking slot, an elastic member installed in the connecting pipe and having elasticity to make the locking pin protrude toward the column, and a connecting member connected to the locking pin and extending A connection line extending into the control box, and a control button installed on the control box and connected to the connection line, the control button can be pulled to pull the connection line to make the latch leave the rear slot or the front slot, and push the elastic member to make the elastic member have a reset elastic force, and at the same time unlock the corresponding leaning unit so that it can be controlled and rotated, when each leaning unit moves to the rear leaning position, the latch is locked in the rear slot, and when each leaning unit moves to the front leaning position, the latch is locked in the front slot.
