Description

Wound protection device

The present invention relates to a wound protection device, in particular to a wound protection device which can form a solid protective layer on the wound surface.

When a wound occurs on the skin due to external factors such as a cut or abrasion, the accompanying blood loss must be dealt with and the wound must be disinfected to prevent bacterial growth that may cause inflammation or even more serious infection.

The general treatment method for wounds is to apply or bandage sterilized external dressings to the wound after hemostasis, such as pressure hemostasis, to prevent infection from external bacteria. Common external dressings, such as gauze, bandages, OK bandages, and cotton pads made of sterilized cotton sandwiched between two layers of gauze, have some water absorption properties, but do not have hemostatic properties.

From the above description, it can be understood that the current wound treatment has the following disadvantages:

1. Unable to stop bleeding immediately: Common topical dressings are mainly made of cotton or gauze. Although they have the characteristics of stream water, the bleeding of the wound must be stopped by applying pressure or by allowing platelets to work for a period of time. Therefore, the current wound treatment method cannot stop bleeding immediately.

2. External dressing materials are susceptible to infection: Generally used gauze, bandages, OK bandages, and double-layer gauze must be sterile and cover the wound to prevent bacterial infection. However, if the first aid kit or bag is stored in a poor environment, external dressings are easily contaminated with bacteria, causing the wound to be susceptible to bacterial infection.

3. Prone to secondary injury: Since the main materials of common external dressings are cotton or gauze, they only have an isolation effect when covering the wound, but no protective effect. When the wound is hit by the outside world, the force will reach the wound through the external dressing and cause secondary injury to the wound.

Therefore, how to stop the bleeding of the wound immediately and produce a protective layer on the wound surface to prevent the wound from suffering secondary injury is a goal that relevant technical personnel urgently need to work hard on.

331。Please refer to Figures 4 and 5 for details. The injection unit 32 includes an injection port 321 disposed on the housing 311, a catheter 322 connected to the injection port 321, a container 323 connected to the catheter 322, a light-curable material 324 contained in the container 323, and a flow control module 325 disposed on the catheter 322. The curing unit 33 includes a light-emitting module 331 disposed on the housing 311.

The light-curable material 324 is a photosensitive resin. The light-curable material 324 is initially in a liquid state and is contained in the container 323. The material of the container 323 has a light-proof property, which is used to prevent the light-curable material 324 contained therein from being irradiated by external light. The function of the container 323 is similar to the ink cartridge in a printer. The flow control module 325 can drive the light-curable material 324 contained in the container 323 to flow through the liquid conduit 323. 2 is poured out from the injection port 321. The flow control module 325 is a small water pump element for controlling the flow rate of the light-curing material 324. When the light-curing material 324 is irradiated by light of a specific wavelength (generally UV light), the light-curing material 324 will undergo a polymerization reaction and solidify in a very short time. Since the photosensitive resin material has been frequently used in dental treatment, it will not be described in detail here.

The light-emitting module 331 is a plurality of light-emitting elements disposed on the concave surface 313, and a driving circuit (not shown in the figure) that can drive the plurality of light-emitting elements. The light-emitting module 331 can emit light of a specific wavelength (UV light, ultraviolet light) to the outside to irradiate the injected light-curing material 324 and solidify it into a solid. The injection port 321 is disposed on the end surface 312. The user can attach the wound protection device to the skin, adjust the switching switch 316 to set the flow control module 325 and the light-emitting module 331 to operate simultaneously, and then turn on the power module 318 to allow the injection unit 32 to inject liquid from the injection port 321. The light-curing material 324 is injected, and the light-emitting module 331 emits ultraviolet light at the same time. Then the user slides the wound protection device on the skin so that the wound protection device can pass through the wound and attach the light-curing material 324 to the surface of the wound and the skin. The light-curing material 324 irradiated by the ultraviolet light will be cured immediately and form a solid protective layer on the surface of the wound. Among them, the switching switch 316 is a three-way switch, which can not only set the flow control module 325 and the light-emitting module 331 to operate simultaneously, but also set the flow control module 325 to operate alone, or the light-emitting module 331 to operate alone.

324。Please refer to FIG. 2, FIG. 4 and FIG. 5. On the end surface 312, the injection port 321 is roughly rectangular and is disposed in the middle of the two protrusions 314. The two protrusions 314 have the same height. When the user attaches one end of the housing 311 to the skin surface, the protrusions 314 disposed on both sides of the injection port 321 abut against the skin, and the end surface 312 is aligned with the skin. The skin is spaced apart from each other, thereby fixing the thickness of the light-curing material 324 coated on the skin, allowing a protective layer of uniform thickness to be formed on the wound surface. In addition, the concave surface 313 is farther away from the skin than the end surface 312, allowing the ultraviolet light output by the light-emitting module 331 to diffuse outward, allowing the ultraviolet light to fully irradiate the light-curing material 324 coated on the skin.

Please refer to Figure 2. The solar power generation module 317 has a solar panel installed on one side of the housing 311, and a battery (not shown in the figure) installed in the housing 311. The battery stores the electricity generated by the solar panel. The power module 318 is a switching element for controlling the electrical connection between the battery and the light-emitting module 331 and the flow control module 325, so that the light-emitting module 331 and the flow control module 325 can operate with electricity.

324。Please refer to FIG. 3 , the container 323 is disposed between the housing 311 and the cover 315 . When the cover 315 is separated from the housing 311 , the container 323 can be exposed to the outside and can be separated from the housing 311 , so that the user can replace the container 323 to replenish the light-curable material 324 .

From the above description, it can be seen that the wound protection device of the present invention has the following effects:

1. Immediate hemostasis: The light-curing material 324 is a photosensitive resin. The protrusions 314 disposed on both sides of the injection port 321 have the same height. The light-curing material 324 can be coated on the wound surface with the same thickness. When the ultraviolet light output by the light-emitting module 331 irradiates the light-curing material 324 coated on the wound surface, the light-curing material 324 can be cured immediately and a protective layer can be formed on the wound surface. The solid protective layer on the wound surface can seal the wound and has the effect of immediate hemostasis.

2. Prevent wound infection: The container 323 formed by the opaque material can not only prevent the light-curing material 324 from being irradiated by external light, but also isolate the light-curing material 324 from the outside world. Even if the wound protection device is placed in a poor environment, the light-curing material 324 will not be contaminated by the outside world, and can ensure that the light-curing material 324 coated on the wound surface is free of bacteria, thus preventing the wound from being infected.

3. Preventing secondary injuries: When the ultraviolet light output by the light-emitting module 331 irradiates the light-curing material 324 coated on the wound surface, the light-curing material 324 can be cured into a protective layer. The protective layer will adhere to the skin and last for a period of time, which can resist external collisions and isolate external pollution, effectively preventing the wound from causing secondary injuries.

In summary, the two protrusions 314 disposed on the end surface 312 can enable the injection unit 32 to coat a layer of photocurable material 324 with a uniform thickness on the skin surface, and the concave surface 313 that is concave relative to the end surface 312 can provide the ultraviolet light output by the light-emitting module 331 to fully irradiate the photocurable material 324 coated on the skin surface, so that the photocurable material 324 forms a protective layer on the wound surface, thereby truly achieving the purpose of the present invention.

However, what is described above is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention and should not be used to limit the scope of implementation of the present invention.
