Description

The present invention relates to a display device, and in particular to a display device with a curved screen.

As the applications of display devices become increasingly diversified, large display boards used to display public information or advertisements are increasingly used in major exhibition venues or department stores.

Generally speaking, most splicing technologies are arranged with multiple independent displays, so it is still difficult to achieve zero border. In addition, in order to meet the usage requirements, the display may need to have a curved display area. However, existing curved display panels are, for example, made of full-surface Micro Light Emitting Diodes (μLED). However, for large-area displays, the mass transfer of μLEDs still has the problem of low yield, making it difficult to achieve complete large-area displays without defective pixels.

The present invention provides a display device that can reduce the presence of splicing seams of a curved screen and improve the yield rate.

The display device of the present invention includes at least one substrate and at least one flexible display panel. There is a first side edge at the connection between the two first side surfaces and the first arc surface and the second arc surface respectively. The flexible display panel is arranged on the first curved surface or the second curved surface and extends to at least part of the two first side surfaces. At least one flexible display panel has a curved display area, and the curved display area has a single curvature. The arc axis of the surface display area is parallel to the two first side edges.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the above-mentioned first side edge is a straight edge.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the above-mentioned first arc surface is a convex arc surface.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the second arc surface is a concave arc surface.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the first arc surface and the second arc surface are concentric arcs.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the material of the at least one substrate includes metal or plastic.

Based on the above, in the display device of the present invention, the flexible display panel is arranged on the curved surface of the substrate, so that the curved display area has a single curvature, and the arc axis of the curved display area is parallel to the two first sides of the substrate edge. In this embodiment, the flexible display panels 1201B, 1202B, 1203B, and 1204B respectively correspond to the substrates 1101B, 1102B, 1103B, and 1104B. In detail, these substrates 1101B, 1102B, 1103B, and 1104B are connected in series with each other, and the first side surfaces 113 between the two adjacent substrates are opposite to each other. These flexible display panels 1201B, 1202B, 1203B, and 1204B are jointly spliced into a combined Concave curved screen to achieve a large area and complete single curvature curved surface display device. In this way, defects caused by mass transfer can be avoided and the yield rate can be improved.

In the above embodiments, the convex curved surface display device or the concave curved surface display device can also be spliced with another flat display device, or the convex curved surface display device and the concave curved surface display device can be spliced with each other to form a display with multiple continuous radians. device, the actual splicing method of the screens can be adjusted according to actual needs, and the present invention is not limited to this.

To sum up, in the display device of the present invention, the flexible display panel is arranged on the curved surface of the substrate, so that the curved display area has a single curvature, and the arc axis of the curved display area is parallel to the two first ends of the substrate. Side edges. Thereby, the manufacturing process of the display device is simple and the local stress generated at the corners of the flexible display panel is small without causing component breakage or damage. In addition, the substrate can be a hard substrate, which can maintain the appearance of the display device, so that the structure of the display device is stable and not easily deformed. In one embodiment, the display device includes a plurality of substrates and a plurality of flexible display panels. The substrates are connected in series, and the first sides between two adjacent substrates are opposite to each other. The flexible display panels are jointly spliced into one Combined curved screen to achieve a large-area and complete curved display device. In this way, defects caused by mass transfer can be avoided and the yield rate can be improved.
