EP 2 429 340 B1 discloses a furniture accessory in the form of a drawer pull-out guide, in which a base body in the form of a body rail is to be fastened to the furniture body. The base body in the form of a body rail contains a fixing section with a circular opening for the passage of screws by means of which the body rail can be screwed to the furniture body.

A common problem is the demand for metals, which are necessary for the production of furniture accessories. The heavy use of material results in increased weight and cost in mass production. It is therefore desirable to use as little metal as possible, mainly because of the ecological and economic advantages of resource-saving use of raw materials.

Metal-saving measures include the use of thin-walled sheet metal, whereby the weight of furniture accessories can also be reduced in an advantageous way. However, when thin-walled sheet metal is used, it can happen that when fitting furniture accessories to furniture parts, the peripheral edges of the openings for passing fixing members (especially screws) are damaged. Using a high-torque electric screwdriver further increases the risk of damaging the opening. Once the peripheral edge of the opening is broken or excessively deformed, the screw head can no longer be secured. The furniture fitting can then only be fastened to the furniture part by means of additional mounting work or cannot be fastened to the furniture part at all.

When using thin-walled sheet metal, there is no room for embedded screw heads due to the thin wall thickness. In this case, the screw head will protrude beyond the opening, which, in addition to an unsightly appearance, also creates a risk of injury and collision with objects.

The object of the present invention is to provide a furniture accessory of the above-mentioned type while avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are provided in the appended items.

According to the invention, it is provided that the at least one opening is surrounded by a flange on a second side spaced from the fastening side by a thickness of material of the fastening section, the flange being transverse to the second side of the fastening section. protrude.
