The present invention relates to a communication technology field, and in particular to a user equipment and a method related to report management.

在新無線電(new radio,NR)體驗品質(quality of experience,QoE)中,支援公開層測量收集功能。 In the new radio (NR) quality of experience (QoE), the public layer measurement collection function is supported. This functionality enables the collection of public layer measurements from user equipment (UE). The public layer measurement configuration may be received from an operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) entity or a core network (network, CN) entity, and QoE measurements will be performed on the public layer of the UE based on the measurement configuration.

It should be noted that the radio access network (RAN) may face overload. RAN overload can last for several hours (eg half a day). In case of RAN overload, the RAN may stop new QoE measurement configurations, release existing QoE measurement configurations and suspend QoE measurement reporting. However, the suspend operation may affect all QoE measurement configurations, and some QoE reports with high priority will also be suspended. QoE reports with high priority can specify specific performance. Without receiving QoE reports with high priority from UEs, network deployment or optimization may fail or produce undesirable results.

Before introducing the embodiments of the present disclosure, some related technologies are introduced first.

1. QoE service type:

NR QoE supports the application layer measurement collection function. This functionality enables the collection of application layer measurements from the UE. Supported service types include streaming service, multimedia telephony service for IP multimedia subsystem (MTSI) service, virtual reality (VR), multimedia broadcast/multicast service ( multimedia broadcast/multicast service, MBMS) and extended reality (XR). However, additional service types are not excluded.

2. QoE measurement process:

Figure 2 is a signaling flow diagram of a Quality of Experience (QoE) procedure according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 2 , the procedure is for initiating QoE measurements configured by OAM 111 . The OAM 111 sends the QoE measurement configuration to the network device 120 (step S210 ). The network device 120 finds multiple qualified UEs 130 or a single specific UE 130 that meet the criteria (eg, area scope, application layer capability, service type, etc.). The network device 120 sends the QoE measurement configuration carried in the RRC message to the radio resource control (radio resource control, RRC) layer 131 of the specific UE 130 or each qualified UE 130 (step S220 ). The UE RRC layer 131 forwards the QoE measurement configuration to the UE application (application, APP) layer 133 . When a session starts, the UE APP layer 133 checks the criteria configured for QoE measurement (eg, community list, service type, etc.), and if the criteria are met, starts QoE measurement and reporting.

The UE APP layer 133 forwards the QoE report to the UE RRC layer 131 (step S240). The UE RRC layer 131 sends a QoE report to the network device 120 through a separate signaling radio bearer (SRB) (separate from the current SRB) in NR (step S250), because the priority of this report is lower than Other SRB transmissions. Then, the network device 120 transmits the QoE report to the configured final destination (eg, measurement collection entity (MCE) 113 or trace-collection entity (TCE)) (step S260 ).

3. RAN超載:3. RAN overload:

In case of RAN overload in an independent connection, the RAN may stop new QoE measurement configurations, release existing QoE measurement configurations and suspend QoE measurement reporting. Network device 120 uses RRC signaling to instruct UE 130 to suspend or resume QoE reporting. Potential solutions for suspend/resume mechanisms require detailed process specifications (e.g. suspend/resume for all QoE reports or per QoE configuration), how long a UE can store reports, limits on the size of stored reports, etc.

4. RAN visible QoE information reported by UE:

The RAN (e.g., network device 120) may not be able to understand or use legacy QoE metrics since they are assembled by OAM, sent within a container, and intended to be handled by measurement collection entities in the network . If the RAN needs to use the QoE concept, it may be required that the QoE information should be visible to the RAN. The RAN sees QoE information is simplified QoE information extracted by the UE from QoE metrics, which the RAN can use for various types of optimizations.

The NG-RAN node assembles and sends to the UE the RAN visible QoE configuration, which can be sent directly or via the CN together with the QoE measurement configuration container transmitted from the OAM.

RAN。The UE receives and applies the RAN visible QoE configuration and/or QoE measurement configuration container. The RAN-visible QoE configuration may be such that the corresponding RAN-visible QoE information reported may be a unique value or a combination of values reflecting QoE metrics useful to the RAN (eg buffer level). The RAN visibility report is provided from the UE's application layer to the UE's RRC layer through AT commands. The UE's RRC layer then includes the RAN visible report together with the QoE report container (but as a separate IE) in the MeasReportAppLayer IE and sends it to the RAN.

One or more embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method related to reporting management that provides partial reporting during a suspended state of QoE reporting, optionally according to a QoE measurement configuration and/or selectively according to a RAN-visible QoE configuration .

FIG. 3 is a flowchart of a method applicable to a user equipment (UE) 130 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 3 , the UE 130 receives a pause indication with report selection information (step S310 ). The UE 130 sends one or more QoE reports based on the report selection information (step S330).

Specifically, a pause indication is sent from the network device 120 . The pause instruction is an instruction to temporarily suspend the QoE measurement report. The pause indication is a unicast or broadcast from the network device 120 . Optionally, the QoE measurement may be an application layer measurement configured by OAM. Alternatively, the QoE measurements may be measurements on the radio layer. Alternatively, the QoE measurements are related to RAN-visible QoE, which includes RAN-visible QoE metrics (such as impairment duration, round trip time, or jitter duration) and RAN-visible QoE values.

In one embodiment, the suspension indication is related to RAN overload. For example, network device 120 detects RAN overload, and UE 130 receives a pause indication from network device 120 in response to RAN overload. In other embodiments, the pause indication may be triggered by other events, such as a fault or power issue.

Resume, on the other hand, is an action that causes a previously suspended QoE measurement report to be resumed. In one embodiment, UE 130 may receive a resume indication from network device 120 . A recovery instruction is an instruction to a recovery action.

NS。For example, FIG. 4 is a signaling flow diagram of a QoE procedure with a suspend and resume mechanism according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 4 , RAN overload is detected by the network device 120 (step S420 ). The network device 120 sends a suspension indication to the UE 130 (step S430). When the UE 130 receives the suspension indication, the status of the QoE measurement report will change from the normal status NS to the QoE report suspension status PS. Also, RAN overload is released later (step S450). The network device 120 sends a recovery indication to the UE 130 (step S460). When the UE 130 receives the resume indication, the state of the QoE measurement report will change from the suspended state PS to the normal state NS of the QoE report.

It should be noted that the suspend/resume mechanism may apply to all QoE reports (eg RAN-visible reports or normal QoE reports), per QoE measurement configuration or per RAN-visible QoE configuration.

In one embodiment, the reporting selection information is related to avoiding reporting suspension for one or more QoE measurement configurations. One or more QoE reports (hereinafter referred to as first QoE reports) may be associated with a QoE measurement configuration related to avoiding reporting suspension indicated in the report selection information. During the suspended state PS, said one or more first QoE reports associated with a QoE measurement configuration related to avoiding reporting suspension are sent.

In one embodiment, one or more second QoE reports in addition to said one or more first QoE reports are suspended based on the report selection information. The second QoE report is not associated with the QoE measurement configuration associated with the report suspension indicated in the avoid report selection message. This means that the sending of the first QoE report will not be suspended during the pause state PS of the QoE report (as shown in step S440 of FIG. 4 ). However, the transmission of the second QoE report not associated with the QoE measurement configuration indicated by the report selection information will be suspended during the suspended state PS of QoE reporting.

In one embodiment, the UE 130 receives the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration from the network device 120 (as shown in step S410 of FIG. 4 ). The group identifier (or referred to as category, attribute or label) indicates a group that does not include a QoE measurement configuration or includes at least one QoE measurement configuration. Alternatively, the group identifier represents one of a QoE measurement configuration or a RAN visible configuration. In one embodiment, the group identifier is an identification of the QoE measurement configuration. In another embodiment, the group identifier is an identification of the RAN visible QoE configuration. In one embodiment, the group identifier is a service type and/or a radio resource control (RRC) level identification (identification, ID) (for example, reference ID or ID for short). The service type may be, for example, MTSI, VR, MBMS, XR service, and the like. The group identifier can be numbers, symbols, letters or text, and the embodiment is not limited thereto.

In one embodiment, the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration is related to the QoE priority. For example, the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration is lower than the QoE priority of the RAN visible QoE configuration. Additionally, report selection information is a priority threshold. In an embodiment of step S440 shown in FIG. 4 , UE 130 may also compare the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration with the priority threshold, and send the QoE measurement configuration based on the comparison result of the priority threshold. In other words, the first QoE report is selected based on the comparison between the QoE priority and the priority threshold.

For example, FIG. 5A is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 5A , the report selection information is the priority threshold and is set to 1. Referring to FIG. The QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is 1, the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is 2, and the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 is 3. It is assumed that the smaller the value of the QoE priority, the higher the priority, and the larger the value of the QoE priority, the lower the priority. The value of the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 is greater than the priority threshold (ie, the comparison result), and this means that the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 is lower. The value of the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is smaller than the priority threshold (ie, the comparison result), and this means that the QoE priority of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is higher. Therefore, in response to receiving the suspend indication, the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 is suspended (i.e., the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 is the second QoE report), and the reporting of QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 remains unchanged. (ie, the report of QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is the first QoE report and will be sent by UE RRC layer 131).

In one embodiment, the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration is associated with the reported volume. A larger report volume and more QoE may lead to a higher probability of RAN overload. Additionally, the report selection information is the volume threshold. In an embodiment of step S440 shown in FIG. 4 , UE 130 may also compare the reported quantity of the QoE report with a quantity threshold, and send the QoE report based on the comparison result of the quantity threshold. In other words, the first QoE report is selected based on the comparison between the reported volume and the volume threshold. In some embodiments, the amount of reporting is related to how long the UE 130 can store the QoE reports.

For example, FIG. 5B is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 5B , the report selection information is the volume threshold and is set to 0.7. The overload factor is related to the reported volume. Assume that the smaller the value, the higher the overload factor for the reported volume, and the larger the value, the lower the overload factor for the reported volume. The QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 has an overload factor of 0.8, the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 has an overload factor of 0.5, and the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 has an overload factor of 0.2. The values of the overload factors of the QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 are smaller than the volume threshold (ie, the comparison result), and this means that the reported volume of the QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3 is larger. The value of the overload factor of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is larger than the volume threshold (ie the comparison result), and this means that the reported volume of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is smaller.

In one embodiment, the report selection information is a bitmap configuration. Each bit of the bitmap configuration corresponds to a group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration (ie, one bit per QoE measurement configuration). Optionally, the relationship between bitmap configurations and QoE measurement configurations may be ordered. Alternatively, the relationship between the bitmap configuration and the QoE measurement configuration may be a flexible one-to-many mapping. In an embodiment of step S440 shown in FIG. 4 , the UE 130 may also compare the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration with the bitmap configuration, and send a QoE report based on the comparison result of the bitmap configuration. In other words, the first QoE report is selected based on the comparison of the group identifier and the bitmap configuration.

For example, FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 6, the relationship between the bitmap configuration and the QoE measurement configuration is in order. The first bit indicates the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1, the second bit indicates the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2, and the third bit indicates the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3. If the bitmap configuration is "101", only the reporting of QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is suspended since the second bit of the bitmap configuration is "0" (i.e., the reporting of QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is the second QoE report ), and since the first and third bits of the bitmap configuration are "1", the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 1 and QoE 3 remains unchanged (that is, the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 1 and QoE 3 is first QoE report and will be sent by UE RRC layer 131).

In one embodiment, the group identifier is associated with a unique identifier of the QoE measurement configuration. Report selection information may include a list of unique identifiers. This means that one or more unique identifiers will be selected. In step S440 shown in FIG. 4 , the UE 130 may also compare the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration with the unique identifier of the list, and send a QoE report based on the comparison result of the unique identifier of the list. In other words, the first QoE report is selected based on the comparison of the group identifier with the unique identifier of the list. The comparison result will be that the unique identifier is the same as or different from the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration.

For example, FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 7 , the report selection information includes the RRC class ID of the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 . Therefore, in response to receiving the suspend indication, the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 1 and QoE 3 is suspended (i.e., the reporting of QoE measurement configurations QoE 1 and QoE 3 is the second QoE report), and the reporting of QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 remains unchanged. (ie, the report of QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is the first QoE report and will be sent by UE RRC layer 131).

In one embodiment, UE 130 receives the resume indication and sends one or more second QoE reports based on the resume indication in response to receiving the resume indication. The second QoE report suspended during the suspended state PS is resumed. Taking FIG. 7 as an example, the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 and QoE 3 reports will be resumed in response to receiving the resume instruction.

FIG. 8 is a flowchart of a method applicable to the network device 120 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 8 , the network device 120 sends a pause instruction with report selection information (step S810 ). The network device 120 receives one or more QoE reports based on the report selection information (step S830 ).

Detailed descriptions of steps S810 to S830 may refer to FIGS. 3 to 7 and will be omitted.

In one embodiment, the network device 120 sends the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration to the UE 130 (as shown in step S410 of FIG. 4 ). A group identifier (or called category, attribute or label) represents one of the QoE measurement configurations. In one embodiment, the group identifier is an identification of the QoE measurement configuration. In another embodiment, the group identifier is an identification of the RAN visible QoE configuration. In one embodiment, the group identifier is a service type and/or a radio resource control (RRC) level identification (ID) (eg, reference ID or ID for short).

In one embodiment, the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration is related to the QoE priority. The report selection information is a priority threshold, and the first QoE report is selected based on a comparison between the QoE priority and the priority threshold.

In one embodiment, group identifiers are associated with reporting volumes. The report selection information is a volume threshold, and the first QoE report is selected based on a comparison between the reported volume and the volume threshold.

In one embodiment, the report selection information is a bitmap configuration. One bit of the bitmap configuration corresponds to the group identifier, and the first QoE report is selected based on a comparison of the group identifier and the bitmap configuration.

In one embodiment, the group identifier is associated with a unique identifier of the QoE measurement configuration, the report selection information may include a list of unique identifiers and the first QoE report is selected based on the list of unique identifiers.

In one embodiment, the network device 120 may not receive the one or more second QoE reports based on the report selection information. The second QoE report is not associated with the QoE measurement configuration associated with the report suspension indicated in the avoid report selection message.

In one embodiment, the network device 120 sends a recovery indication (as shown in step S460 of FIG. 4 ), and in response to sending the recovery indication, receives one or more second QoE reports based on the recovery indication (as shown in FIGS. 5A to 7 ). shown). The second QoE report will be received after sending the resume indication.

However, the first QoE report may be selected based on trigger events rather than report selection information.

FIG. 9 is a flowchart of a method applicable to UE 130 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 9 , UE 130 receives event trigger information for QoE measurement configuration (step S910 ). UE 130 receives the suspension indication (step S930). The UE 130 decides to send or suspend one or more QoE reports based on the event-triggered information (step S950).

Specifically, QoE reports are associated with QoE measurement configurations. In one embodiment, the event trigger information is related to an event that the measurement result corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration meets the criteria, and the UE decides to send or suspend the one or more QoE reports based on the event trigger information.

In one embodiment, the criteria are associated with measurement results corresponding to QoE measurement configurations. In one embodiment, the measurement results corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration are included in radio access network (RAN) visible QoE information. For example, the measurement result is RAN visible QoE information (or RAN visible QoE value) reported by UE 130 .

In one embodiment, the metric of RAN visible QoE information may be the corruption duration of the streaming service. If the network device 120 knows the result of this measurement, the network device 120 can adjust the resource configuration of the UE 130 to meet the user experience.

In another embodiment, the measure of the RAN visible QoE information may be the buffer level of the streaming service. If the network device 120 is aware of the cache level results, the network device 120 can adjust the resource allocation of the UE 130 to ensure that there is enough buffer for the flow to improve scheduling efficiency.

In other embodiments, the metric of the RAN visible QoE information may be other metrics defined in 3rd Generation Partnership Project ( 3rd Generation Partnership Project, 3GPP) TR 38.890 and the like. In yet another embodiment, measurement results may be derived from other QoE metric data through models/functions.

The difference between the suspend indication of this embodiment and the suspend indication of the above-mentioned embodiments (such as the embodiments shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 8 ) is that the suspend indication of this embodiment is mentioned in the previous embodiment without Received with the report opt-in information. However, one or more first QoE reports having measurement results corresponding to QoE measurement configurations meeting the criteria are sent, and one or more second QoE reports having measurement results corresponding to QoE measurement configurations not meeting the criteria are suspended. In other words, the first QoE report is selected based on the triggering event.

NS。Figure 10 is a signaling flow diagram of a QoE procedure with suspend and resume mechanism according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 10 , the network device 120 sends event trigger information for QoE measurement configuration to the UE 130 (step S1010 ). RAN overload is detected by the network device 120 (step S1020 ). The network device 120 sends a suspension indication to the UE 130 (step S1030 ). When the UE 130 receives the suspension indication, the status of the QoE measurement report will change from the normal status NS to the QoE report suspension status PS. Also, RAN overload is released later (step S1050). The network device 120 sends a recovery indication to the UE 130 (step S1060). When the UE 130 receives the resume indication, the state of the QoE measurement report will change from the suspended state PS to the normal state NS of the QoE report.

The pause/resume mechanism may apply to all QoE reports (eg RAN-visible reports or normal QoE reports), per QoE measurement configuration or per RAN-visible QoE configuration.

In an embodiment of step S950 shown in FIG. 9 or step S1040 shown in FIG. 10 , UE 130 compares the measurement result corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration with the measurement threshold, and decides to send or suspend based on the comparison result of the measurement threshold One or more QoE reports.

Taking the damage duration as an example, the UE 130 compares the value or measurement result corresponding to the damage duration with a duration threshold (ie, a measurement threshold). UE 130 may consider an entry condition in response to a first condition fulfillment event and an exit condition in response to a second condition fulfillment event.

For example, the first condition is: Ms - Hys > Thresh...(1) . The second condition is: Ms + Hys < Thresh... (2) Ms is the measurement result corresponding to the impairment duration of the RAN visible QoE metric without considering any bias. Hys is the hysteresis parameter of this event (ie hysteresis defined within reportConfigNR-QoE of this event), however the hysteresis parameter may be omitted based on actual requirements. Thresh is the measurement threshold for this event (ie, q1-Threshold defined within reportConfigNR-QoE for this event). Ms is expressed in microseconds (microsecond, ms). Hys is expressed in the same units as Ms. Thresh is expressed in the same units as Ms.

FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to Figure 11, the measurement threshold corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is q1-Threshold-1 , the measurement threshold corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is q1-Threshold-2 , and the measurement corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 The threshold value is q1-Threshold-3 . The star symbol indicates an event that meets its corresponding criterion, eg the measurement result corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is greater than the measurement threshold q1-Threshold-1 , which can optionally be used in combination with the hysteresis parameter as function (1). Therefore, the report for QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 will be considered as the first QoE report for the event and will be sent. On the other hand, a square symbol indicates an event that does not meet its corresponding standard, for example, the measurement result corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 is smaller than the measurement threshold q1-Threshold-3 . Therefore, the report of QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 will be considered as the second QoE report for the event and will be suspended.

In one embodiment, the event trigger information is related to a randomly selected event whose random value corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration satisfies a criterion, and the UE decides to send or suspend the at least one QoE report based on the event trigger information. For example, the criteria may be an inspection factor for reporting inspections. Report checks may be randomly selected. Alternatively, report checking may relate to checking of report volume, priority, importance, user needs, service needs, etc., and embodiments are not limited thereto. Optionally, the check factor may be a value or symbol representing the status or measurement of the reported check.

In an embodiment of step S950 shown in FIG. 9 or step S1040 shown in FIG. 10, UE 130 compares the random value corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration with the threshold value, and decides to send or suspend one or more A QoE report. In other words, one or more first QoE reports are selected based on a comparison between the random value of the QoE measurement and the threshold value.

In one embodiment, UE 130 randomly selects values based on a random distribution to achieve random selection. The random distribution can be, for example, a uniform distribution, a Gaussian distribution, or other distributions.

For example, network device 120 configures UE 130 to have QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 with check factor=0.8, QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 with check factor=0.5, and QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 with check factor=0.2. The checking factor is the threshold value. The UE 130 may map a random number " rand " uniformly distributed in the following range: 0≤rand <1. If the random number " rand " is lower than the value indicated by the corresponding check factor (i.e., the event meets the criteria), its QoE report will be considered as the first QoE report that triggered the event and will be sent to the network during the PS state device 120. On the other hand, if the random number " rand " is not lower than the value indicated by the corresponding check factor (i.e., the event does not meet the criteria), its QoE report will be considered a second QoE report and will be suspended (i.e., not is sent).

In one embodiment, UE 130 may receive a resume indication from network device 120, and if the one or more QoE reports are suspended, send the one or more QoE reports based on the resume indication in response to receiving the resume indication . Suspended QoE reports have measurement results corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration or random values that do not meet the criteria.

FIG. 12 is a flowchart of a method applicable to the network device 120 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 12 , the network device 120 sends event trigger information for QoE measurement configuration (step S1210 ). The network device 120 sends a pause indication (step S1230). The network device 120 receives one or more QoE reports based on the event-triggered information in response to sending the pause indication (step S1250 ).

Detailed descriptions of steps S1210 to S1250 may refer to FIGS. 9 to 11 and will be omitted. One or more QoE reports are associated with the QoE measurement configuration. In one embodiment, the event trigger information is related to the event that the QoE measurement result corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration meets the criteria. In addition, the network device 120 receives one or more first QoE reports for events with QoE measurement results corresponding to QoE measurement configurations that meet the standards, and the network device 120 does not receive events with QoE measurement configurations that do not meet the standards. One or more second QoE reports of the QoE measurements.

In one embodiment, one or more QoE reports are sent or suspended based on a comparison of the measurement corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration with a measurement threshold.

In another embodiment, the event-triggering information is associated with a randomly selected event for which a random value corresponding to a QoE measurement configuration satisfies a criterion. In one embodiment, sending or suspending one or more QoE reports is determined by UE 130 based on a comparison between a random value corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration and a threshold value.

In one embodiment, the network device 120 sends a resume indication (as shown in step S1060 of FIG. 10 ), and if one or more QoE reports are suspended, the one or more QoE reports are received based on the resume indication in response to sending the resume indication. A QoE report (as shown in Figure 10). The second QoE report will be received after sending the resume indication.

However, the first QoE report may be sent based on both the report selection information and the trigger event instead of the report selection information or the trigger event.

FIG. 13 is a flowchart of a method applicable to UE 130 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 13 , the UE 130 receives event trigger information (step S1310 ). The UE 130 receives a pause indication with report selection information (step S1330 ). The UE 130 decides to send or suspend one or more QoE reports based on both the report selection information and the event trigger information (step S1350 ).

Detailed descriptions of steps S1310 to S1350 may refer to FIGS. 3 to 11 and will be omitted. The difference between this embodiment and the above-mentioned embodiments (such as the embodiments shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 11 ) is that both report selection information and event trigger information are considered in this embodiment. This means that one or more first QoE reports are indicated by the report selection information and have events that satisfy the corresponding criteria.

NS。Figure 14 is a signaling flow diagram of a QoE procedure with a pause and resume mechanism according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 14 , the network device 120 sends the event trigger information and the group identifier of the QoE measurement configuration to the UE 130 separately or together (step S1410 ). The network device 120 detects that the RAN is overloaded (step S1420). The network device 120 sends a pause indication with report selection information to the UE 130 (step S1430 ). When the UE 130 receives the suspension indication, the status of the QoE measurement report will change from the normal status NS to the QoE report suspension status PS. The UE will send the QoE report based on both the report selection information and the event trigger information (step S1440). Also, RAN overload is released later (step S1450). The network device 120 sends a recovery indication to the UE 130 (step S1460).

For example, FIG. 15 is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial report according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 15 , assume that the report selection information is a priority threshold, and the event criteria are related to RAN visible QoE (eg damage duration). The network device 120 configures the UE 130 as follows: QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 has a QoE priority of 1, QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 has a QoE priority of 2, and QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 has a QoE priority of 3. In addition, the network device 120 configures the UE 130 as: the measurement threshold corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 is q1-Threshold-1 , the measurement threshold corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 2 is q1-Threshold-2 , and The measurement threshold corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 3 is q1-Threshold-3 . The network device 120 sends a pause indication with a priority threshold (eg, 1). When the criteria for an event with a measurement threshold q1-Threshold-1 (shown as a star symbol in the figure) is met, the UE 130 will send a QoE report corresponding to the QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 to the network device 120, and since Lower QoE priority, suspending all QoE reports corresponding to QoE measurement configurations QoE 2 and QoE 3. However, QoE reporting corresponding to QoE measurement configuration QoE 1 may be suspended when the criteria for an event with measurement threshold q1-Threshold-1 (shown as a square symbol in the figure) is not met.

FIG. 16 is a flowchart of a method applicable to the network device 120 according to one of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 16 , the network device 120 sends event trigger information (step S1610 ). The network device 120 sends a pause instruction with report selection information (step S1630 ). The network device 120 receives one or more QoE reports based on both the report selection information and the event trigger information in response to sending the pause indication (step S1650 ).
