A remote control method and a control system are provided. First, a peripheral apparatus connected to a display apparatus is identified through a multimedia interface. Afterward, an operation interface corresponding to the peripheral apparatus is displayed to the display apparatus. Moreover, coordinates of a light spot where a laser light falls on the display apparatus is identified when an option in the operation interface has been selected through the laser light emitted by an input apparatus, and a control code corresponding to the coordinates of the light spot is generated.
